Pretending to be someone from a games company to try to trick Chris is the next step above writing "This guy makes GOOD autistics like me look bad!" in the comments on an archived Chris video.
I'd like to hear about failed Trolling attempts of Marvin and Alec, too. They have spilled some info here and there, but I don't know if they ever shared failed plans in a bigger scale. That or plans they stopped due to other reasons (like Bob's death).
I normally keep quiet on such matters but this isn't the first time you have waded in and called people autistic. P-logic made an observation that posters are quick to call out the stupidity of these failed attempts despite Thetan doing the exact same thing. I quoted him and agreed stating that the lines between a ween and a troll seem to be dependent on who is doing the "trolling" these days.
I don't know what happened between my post and now because I was out on a Friday night like a normal adult but nowhere in those two posts was a question of the ethics of trolling. It devolved into utter shit, with P-Logic falling into his normal 'inner-circle' bashing schtick and everything getting derailed all to hell and gone. Multiple posts even pointed out how bad it had gotten, and I elected to excise a large portion of the thread to save it instead of locking it and calling it dead as Marvin was feeling inclined to do.
You're grumpy at me calling people autistic, then you get snipey. Also, for people in the US it was Thursday night anyway, so not a lot of folks would be going out.
People are pretty damn autistic. When Null turned me purple it was because Discussion had gotten so riddled with the dread disease that he locked the entire board and was contemplating leaving it that way. I like to think that he hasn't had to think about taking drastic measures like that since.
Well, maybe, but that's not really my point. I'm not trying to make any kind of moral argument here. I'm just trying to make the point that Chris trolling has always been tightly controlled by a small group of people who will shut down any trolling attempts from outsiders if they are able.
That's not true. I was once an outsider but, most likely because of sheer luck / chance, I managed to make contact and have some fairly decent interactions with Chris (and the rest is history).
Now to get back on-topic.
The Tiffany attempt was derailed because the person involved was actively encouraging Chris to pursue her, to the point where Chris was considering just showing up at her place of work. He was also, as I mentioned previously, using those "people finder" sites to look up other gal-pals.
Other such attempts were derailed for similar reasons, it wasn't because of some sort of Inner Circle gate keeper conspiracy thing.
Note to @Hellblazer: I only replied to this because I felt that an explanation for the outing of the fake Tiffany was on-topic in the context of the thread.
He was looking for info on the others using those "people finder" services. I don't know how far along he got with the others because he never said much about it after "Rebeckah" made it pretty clear that she disapproved.
Those services can get somewhat pricey as well (a background check runs around $50), so he may have stopped because of that.
He tried to contact a few of the gal pals via Facebook, and was promptly blocked (which speaks volumes about the gal pals attitude towards Chris).
