My 32 inch 165hz viewsonic monitor's backlight died a month after the warranty expired. Is there an easy DIY fix or is it so joever for me?

Feel very stuck with monitor options currently.
I got some neat 2k IPS displays for 2018. The standard has definitely sped up to people having 27" 2k displays as well.
But now I want to get ahead of the curve again and thats looking like 32" 4k displays this time and that jump in price is pretty huge for nicer displays.

For reference costco is selling 27" 2k OLEDs for around $350 but the 4k 32" OLED they started selling in the last week is $900

That's actually a thing that has been around for ages. Big screens are expensive, small screens are cheap. It doesn't seem to matter how much it costs to produce them: If you want a big screen on your desk, you gotta pay up. Or perhaps the smaller ones really are that cheap to produce?
