The Smiling Friends Chris Chan thread was locked, so I guess this is the best place to put this.

Co-creator of Adult Swim Cartoon Smiling Friends Zach Hadel reconfirmed in a recent interview that the 4chan screenshot was fake, HOWEVER before the incest leaks Chris would have had a small cameo as a grease puddle. Interestingly he was dropped BEFORE the incest leaks due to weird contractual issues that limit the number of small cameo characters that can be on the show, which would have made them have to put Chris in multiple episodes. His role eventually went to Zach's friend Harry Partridge, a known Chris fan. Here's the lines Chris would have done:

He's probably too dumb to follow instructions, so you'd have to animate the shit after his voice rather than the other way around. Also sounds more like a cameo thing so he can massively overcharge for it because only a moron would pay him in the first place.

Basically I think he's worried that people thinking about converting to Christianity might hear about Chris and be turned off from it. I'm not religious but rambling religious nuts certainly do look pretty fucking weird from the outside, as do the various sex offenders that churches tend to harbor.
I recently got a flier put on my windshield that was a wall of incomprehensible text on both sides of a legal-sized sheet of paper, and later I was mailed a copy of The Great Controversy, a 473 page book that also rambles on and on endlessly in small, dense print about God knows what. I'm certainly not going to join the 7th Day Adventists because of this crap.

He could be joking but Chris Chan is a very Crowleyan figure, right down to the obesity, the bisexuality, the vast amount of ludicrous works he produced, and the ritualized semen consumption. Aleister Crowley claimed to have summoned an alien figure after a sex ritual, the famous Lam entity which he drew, and Chris is attached to Magi-Chan sexually, whom he has drawn. How much Crowley or Chris-Chan has led people away from Christianity is a doubtful question; but Crowley certainly wanted to, and Chris-Chan would love people to accept his prison letters as the truth.
