EVO is the absolute worst fucking thing that happened to games, specially fighting games. SF6 exemplifies this with the in game commentary, you can thankfully turn off.

I'm sorry, if your game isn't Madworld, there's a 99.9% chance that your in game commentary sucks balls.

I hate what all this esport push shit has done for gaming.

Edit: I find it sad that NR take more feedback from the tournament fags and the pissy nuns crying about seeing some skin on a fictional woman (but not that you shatter her jaw and snap her spine in half before decapitating her) over that of their core audience

ASHRAH LOST HER HAT. That was like the most recognizable part of her. Reptile looks interesting.. I will admit. I have a soft spot for human Reptile.

Havik looks great so I'm glad he's here.

The vore vomiting fatality kinda makes me flinch but that's just me.

New Kameo is...... Demon bitch.

Overall, not a horrid trailer. I don't think anything can top the spark that Tanya or Milesbian caused. Or the minor annoyance with the guest characters, that this new trailer also advertises because of course.

This Game looks like shit, the roster is z tier level and is another reboot of a series who will never reach the peak that was mkII. Just let mortal Kombat die

That aside, what even is the story for this game other than "mismatched Avengers" and "Lin Kuei bad because Bi Han"?

Where is Shang Tsung in this? Who is the goddamn villain? What is the point to anything?

I know, there's still a bunch of weeks until release but everything feels.. Disjointed somehow.
 
I'm glad they finally gave Reptile his human form back. The fatality got a little "Jesus" out of me. It was a good trailer overall and honestly the one I enjoyed the most so far but yeah they hit Ashrah with the ugly stick.

Man this franchise is unrecognizable.

There's just so much wrong now.

The DLC and guest characters are so embarrassing. A lot has been said already but it's simply embarrassing. Spending so much of your budget on irrelevant characters while shafting fan favourites is so stupid. Do they actually think the kind of person who will tune in to watch YouTube Shorts of Homelander roasting Kitana will spend money on the game?
I never thought I would see the day MK would turn into fucking Fortnite. Are the characters doing wacky dances after fatalities yet?

I was never really on board with having gods fighting "mortals" but with the monsters (Goro, Motaro etc.) and Shao Khan you really felt the difference in power. Then MK vs DC happened and got me even more confused. Like how is Scorpion fighting Superman? Then you had X with Leatherface and Jason running around next to Raiden and Subzero. Just bizarre. Now Terminator and Rambo? Omniman and Harley Quinn? Wtf is even going on anymore? I've even seen people speculating about the chick from Kill Bill and John Wick. Who's next? Goku? Naruto? Bugs Bunny?
MK jumped the shark in X, now it's fallen into the ocean and clinging onto story mode and guest characters to avoid sinking.

Speaking of story, when did this franchise become the last of us? When I was younger the joy of playing fighting games was beating up your friends and I honestly could care less about story. Yes it's nice to know that Raiden came from the sky and possessed a rice farmer, but having cinematic movies that can be compiled into 4 hour YT videos in your fighting game when many beloved characters are missing shows your priorities are misplaced.

The uglification of everyone in the game is so weird. I mean yeah most women are relatively flat-chested and box-shaped and wouldn't walk around in bras and thongs, but then most women also aren't children of gods or hardened military commanders who could shoot energy out of the hands and bisect you with their legs.
I second the idea that they should just sell the IP to Japan, as they don't seem to have a problem with most anime girls having unnatural hair colours, gravity defying giant boobs and wearing revealing clothing, perhaps because they understand that it's not meant to represent reality.
Also speaking of uglification......
You guys are being retarded about Tanya. She was always black. Look at her in MK4 and Deadly Alliance. Wearing Egyptian-inspired clothes doesn't suddenly make her "Nubian" or whatever headcanon you have. Going by Canon race she's an Edenian, but the character designers clearly had a black woman in mind with her design. Going from that bob cut to dreadlocks is weird yes, but she had a ponytail before the bob and it's just a hair style, same as Kano having no beard then getting mutton chops and then back to smooth face. The problem is that Tanya is as ugly as a crack whore now, not that she's "suddenly out of nowhere" been made black. It's much more concerning that they've made her and Jacqui look like the ugliest black women I've ever seen while Sonya, Kitana and Cassie look ok.

Honestly I'm just tired of fighting games at this point. Because of mk11, SF6 and Tekken 7, I've begun to believe that fighting games reach a certain peak point where it's just stupid to keep going. Tekken 3-5 are timeless games that will be enjoyed for generations to come. 6-8 were totally unnecessary, just like everything post MK9. And fuck the story. If it matters that much they can just do some comics afterwards and be done with it.
To a certain extent I understand these studios have nothing else to their name besides that one IP, but they all need to stop and just move on to other things.

What is not nice is her face or her body proportions when you consider the concept art that made her look really amazing.

I was admittingly one of those autists who are about fighting games stories but I appreciate the ones that are just retarded silly fun. Mortal Kombat was certainly very corny and not taking itself too seriously but all that changed with X and went balls to the walls in 11.

They are keeping it full throttle in 12 but I wish the series would have fun with itself again aside from random quips between the characters.
