I really liked the "your soul is mine!" victory. Yeah the line showed up in MK9, but it's interesting that this MK is loaded with tons of references to the movie.

Saw the trailer and God do I hope Bruce was just in the spirit of classic MK trolling. Ash minus Bruce is some stank I wouldn't expect of a AAA dev.

Bruce Deconfirms can hopefully take their place next to Kano Transformations and Shawn Attacks.

So, I got to wondering about the additional characters that could be added to the roster, and I was thinking that an indication of who could be added were based on the tower konsumables. Outside of the assist types (based on the actual roster), I'm thinking that the rest that mention a specific character not yet in the game will not be added. Again this is speculation and I'm sure there are konsumables of a character in the game that I'm forgetting.

As far as I know, these characters don't have a direct konsumable in the current game, and when added to the game that konsumable will be in the form of an assist:

sindel
sheeva
kintaro
kai
mokap
hotaru
shujinko
fara torr


Now watch as I am wrong about my list and someone corrects me or they actually do include the other characters mentioned with konsumables

I can't believe that no-one has brought up the possibility that the rumours and leaks from game code could be red herrings!

You see "Ash" in the code and hear chainsaw sounds but it turned out to be Frank West doing an intro with a double flaming chainsaw weapon in the next reveal.

They teased people with the "Kano Transformations" variable in the code and the fans saw it. Learn from history or repeat it!

They're not going to include DLC characters who they aren't confident will sell. All the leaked/known DLC are either Trilogy characters or decently iconic sci-fi/horror icons or Fujin or The Joker.

I should get back into this game. Put it aside after Shang Tsung came out. Mechanically it's fun, but there isn't a lot of extended play in this for me.

Oh, and they show Spawn finally but Spawn's mask looks like it's shrink wrapped against his face. Does it look like that in the comics now?

My guess for spawn's face looking like that is for the sake of 3d modeling, because (and this is only speculation) they might have a version of al with his mask off

They made him look too young is the problem. He looks like a damn college student cosplaying as the Joker and not the actual Joker.

What I'm wondering is what that chainsaw at the end of the teaser was supposed to be all those months back, the one that made everyone speculate that Ash was gonna show. Because the Terminator never used a chainsaw.

MK team 8 years back would have made this a really killer game, its a really sad sign when the game they made in 2011 is more fun and better written than the last 2 games they've put out. Despite all the newer content, characters, intros, and the fun brutalities the last 2 games haven't really gripped me, this one especially is awful in its writing and story.

The pandering though, Jesus christ this feels like a game made by a different studio. Nightwolf comes across as a bland bitch who has to be a victim instead of interesting. The 2011 version was a more interesting guy, this is just a college cosplayer who Kano shirked.
