Movie Triggers

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
I think it might be referring to the miscarriage hinted at in the opening montage. To be fair, said montage manages to get really sad really fast, but that's kind of the whole point of it: the audience is shown the series of events that turned the main character into the bitter old man we see at the outset of the story.
SJWs have a history of hating well thought out movies.

You know, I don't think that was a miscarriage. I think it's hinted that Ellie was infertile. After all Carl and Ellie didn't even try for another baby it seems.

You know, that's a fair point. It's ambiguous enough that it could go either way, in my opinion. Some of my friends say they think she's infertile, some think miscarriage. Either way, stupid trigger warning.

Oh definitely agreed there.

I decided to look up whether they put up anything for Guardians of the Galaxy and when it came up in the search, the results said that it had nine triggers, but I can't see what they are for some reason. Is anyone else able to see them, and of so, could they please tell me what they are? I would honestly be interested to know what they are, and I'm going to guess that at least two of them are racism and ableism.

I was honestly expecting more than 2 triggers for this movie.

My Cousin Vinny! The only article that actually follows the purpose of the site! Until someone puts in 'Italians' there of course!

But it's still pretty funny that of all the films out there, My Cousin Vinny is the only film thus far that contains legit triggers and only legit triggers.

One is going to be 'transphobia' because Rocket tells Groot to 'learn his genders' at one point, which rubbed Tumblr the wrong way because they're dipshits.

I'm pretty sure it was this, seeing as how they never showed her pregnant at all. I think they just got over eager at the idea of starting a baby and created a nursery before she was even pregnant. And then became concerned when nothing ever happened. But yes SJW will find reasons to rant about well thought out scenes and movies because they have nothing better to do with their time and energy.

And lions don't have races.

Well, technically, depending on how you want to define 'races' they do. There are (or were) several distinct populations of lions spread across Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America. Only a handful of subspecies remain today. A couple went extinct in the Pleistocene, the Barbary lion (which was the nominate subspecies) died out in the early 20th century, though there may be some individuals in captivity of Barbary lion descent, and the Asiatic lion is down to a couple hundred individuals in India's Gir Forest National Park. There are very real differences between these different lions, some more obvious than others (male Barbary lions, for example, had dark colored manes that extended over the shoulder and down the belly, while the extinct American lion was considerably larger than any extent lion populations), but as humans we don't tend to focus on them.
