Movie Triggers

Ubermensch must be triggering because some people find German words to be triggering (just a guess) and destiny of humanity must be triggering because people refuse their destinies? How are those two even triggering?

I'm gonna do my best to make a wild stab at it, using the power of tenuous connections and reasoning.

Übermensch is typically associated with the Nazi ideal of the Aryan superman, and therefore could be seen as white supremacist. As for destiny of humanity? This one is a stretch, but I'm thinking either loose association with the concept of Manifest Destiny, used to justify some awful things in the past, OR the idea of destiny suggests a higher power and greater plan, insulting to those who have been harmed by religion...?

Keep in mind, about 85% of this is being pulled straight out of my ass.

Those may as well make sense though I kinda thought Ubermensch was more associated with Neitzch.

Is there a movie that is, according to these people's mindset, 100% free of triggers? Something along the lines of "The Hippety Hoppety Happy Social Justice Warrior Vanilla Pudding Fun Time"?

Hm, yeah.

When they finally post triggers for Guardians of The Galaxy, I will have just three words to say that are highly likely to invalidate their arguments:

I am Groot

Trigger Warning: I was raped by an alien tree monster, and your callousness about muh paaaaaaainnn is very non-PC and you outta Check Your Privilege, Mr. Man.

Is it my imagination, or are the users of this site more traumatized by "kiddie movies" than by "grownup movies"?

Discuss.

Cissexist is transphobia (fear of transgendered people) while ableism is discrimination against disabled people. These definitions are useless because these are used often on Tumblr just to shut down arguments because THEY'RE TRIGGERED AND OPPRESSED WAAAH

Small tangent:
Shouldn't "DISabelism" be the word for being bigoted against DISabled people..........and, using the same logic, "Ableism" should be bigotry against members of the X-Men?

With how sensitive these people are I'm surprised I haven't seen "Picking Flowers" as a trigger warning. Flowers are people too guise, they feel pain!

Did they make up urine as a trigger just for that movie? Because I hope they didn't.
Well a decent part of the movie's plot revolves around a rug being urinated on, a rug that really tied the room together mind you, perhaps it is triggering to those that ever had someone pee on their stuff or pee on their own stuff. Or perhaps most of these trigger warnings are just declarations of everything that happens in the movie so there will be zero surprises and delusional people will no one to blame for getting upset when its there own fault for watching them.

Super Mario Bros
Tw: turtles, fire, retro graphics, the imminence of death, italians, appropriation, racism and sexism

You know what kind of people are "triggered" by the existence of Italians?

Racists.

There are people that are "triggered" by Weed Smoking?

Y'know what? Those kinda folks need something to calm their nerves: Such as, a big spliff fulla the stankest Ganja.
That'll make those prickly-wicklies silently fade into the ether.

Somebody, somewhere was traumatized by a bunny and some vanilla pudding. Simultaneously.
Don't ask, it just makes them retreat into the fetal position and weep.

This site would actually make sense if it listed triggers like "rape, sexual abuse, murder, *arachnids etc." Because those are things that could legitimately cause a person to break down crying and not just "trigger them"
See, I'm not so sure that it's so much the triggers themselves as it is what seems to constitute one. The vibe I'm getting is that these triggers don't make them react the same way they would with say arachnophobia like you mentioned.
Rather they are just things that they don't like for whatever reason. In any case they are just bandying words like trigger freely without actually understanding what a trigger is(e.g. Hurtful comments on the internet triggers PTSD worse than anything a veteran who fought in Vietnam could ever imagine).

When there are legitimate triggers like rape, they are often attributed to movies where things like that didn't actually happen and is generally taking small details like a throwaway line or short exchange completely out of context. When they toss around these words so freely, they loose all meaning.
As I said in the SJW thread, movies are ment to be 'triggering' as if they didnt have moments that made you feel uncomfortable in one way or anouther, then its just a pointless masturbate.
Art in general will trigger emotions. That's why we have fans and critics. Art forms such as movies are usually intended to provide the audiences with feelings of catharsis. It's simply part of being human.

Mulan is full of transphobia, apparently. What parts of the movie are transphobic I can't tell you, because they didn't bother actually explaining. I imagine it's safe to say that every movie that deals with gender in any way ever deserves a trigger warning for transphobia one way or another.

It's transphobic because it makes jokes about guys dressing up as girls and Mulan finds love with a cishet male as a cishet woman instead of finding it with a cisles or transhet or transles womyn as a transhet or transles male [which would be triggering because F2M transsexuals are traitors to the gender].

Reading that tenaflyviper taught me a valuable lesson. SuJeWs are assfaces.
