Oh geez! Sorry to hear mate.
Careful tossing trich, it'll make spores still and lead to more contam in the future. I used to put a cap of bleach on the affected area to be safe. couldn't tell you if it helped. I think it did.
I'm just amazed I haven't gotten trich till now. I keep my windows open at home for a solid few months a year and there must be tons of spores in the house. 12 hours later the spot hasn't spread much so I got hope for this flush. I do have really hard well water though. Both shrooms and trich aren't a fan of alkaline environments, but since the mycelium gets established in the substrate before being introduced to fresh air, it creates a hostile environment for the trich. Here's an interesting casing layer strategy on reddit. I'm going to buy some PH test strips next time and see if I can hit that 8-10 pH mark for a casing overlay.

This tray will get marked though and sprayed with a bleach solution, followed by a rubbing alcohol solution a few times hoping to kill any trich spores hiding away.
you have a garden bury the trich cake cause it's super good for plants.
I've seen people get flushes out of burried contaminated cakes as well. So that is the plan after I get this flush done.

Yeah I've been burying all of mine in the same general spot in my backyard in the hopes of establishing a cube patch, I'm still figuring out how to maintain something like that so we'll see. That's really good to know about pH and trich, I also have hard water so that might be helping me too. About to harvest my first flush on my monotub so I'll update when that's all done :)

I made some logs today. These are king blue oyster.
60/40 coir/grain. you can see the oat-safflower mix I mentioned on the previous page. They colonized extremely quickly, about 11 days with a break & shake @ 1 week.
What you see is about 1 gallon of grain spawn.
held together by some knockoff chip clips, which also function as minor air exchange until colonization is complete, at which time I'll cut some holes and start to moderate the atmosphere.
This is my first time making logs instead of using bags.
So yeah, these are gonna sit in a closet or something for the next few weeks :) eventually I'll make bigger logs, and maybe switch substrates, but it may be a while at the rate I'm working.

I see most of you are doing this whole growing mushroom thing pretty seriously-like.
One of my gardening friends just proudly displayed some edible mushroom that they've been growing on his garden, no logs or nothing, just inoculated the ground or something like that.

Is he retarded? OR am I the retard from being jealous as hell?

Most of us have some sort of link to fungi to be able to grow them. For me, I'm as smart as a mushroom, so I know what they like. He may also be a bit terded.

Is the dishwasher a good place to grow mushrooms? It’s most, warm and dark
if you have an unused dishwasher, it would be an *excellent* mushroom growing habitat.
