I was expecting more of a livestock and pastures vibe, maybe a tastefully captured industrial milking barn

I'm back with some gorge-ous views.

I had the absolute best melancholic views in front of me today while driving, but no good camera to capture them. Overcast sky, slight drizzle, trees have turned rust orange-red, just the right amount of Eastern European autumn depression. I might be able to borrow a DSLR from a family member so hopefully I'll get to take at least one decent photo before all the leaves fall off, assuming I'll get the hang of manual parameter setting as well.

Fall's normally beautiful in my corner of the world. Not so much this year, unfortunately, since this entire region got ass-fucked by a hurricane before the leaves could turn. These are some older autumn photos, though.

People in this thread are posting some really good stuff!

Here are some recent shots from a day-after-Thanksgiving hike with family.

I use Darktable for postprocessing, because fuck Adobe and also I'm poor anyway lol.

I have many more photos I can post in here. I use a Nikon D3000 which I inherited from my grandmother- usually the 18-55mm f3.5 kit lens is on it. I've improved a lot since I started using this camera a couple years ago, but I always love to get criticism or compliments. Feel free to be as mean or nice as you want.

Damn, your work is good. I remember seeing that statue during an art honors society trip in high school. Your photo brought back some nice and awkward memories!
Thank you. It's been awhile since I've been there, personally, but I hope they're doing alright after the storm.

Bonus image of the year's first measurable snow storm. Not really as good as the others, but I was at work and only had my phone.

Spring is here kiwis! Here's some Appalachian old growth hemlocks and white pine.

Guest starring another northern ring neck snake that wanted to hang out.
