That happens a lot in black women who pull their hair back real tight every day. It damages not just the hair but the follicles too, and the result is gradual balding around the edges (I think weaves cause the same problem by putting a lot of excess weight on the hair). You see it in ballerinas too, but most people don't see many professional ballerinas on or off the stage.

It sucks on any forum full of retards and suckups because people see the “Moderator” tag and take everything in the post as authoritative. Tvtropes forums (is that place still a thing?) tried to curb this by letting mods make posts where their avatar and title and shit differed based on whether they were “wearing their mod hat” as of that post. It only managed to make things even gayer.

Black people don't use that word on their friends. You for damn sure can't avoid an asskicking after calling someone that word by being black.

I was impressed nobody called her out on it (in retrospect, not really surprising since this is Nepenthe we're talking about). Unlike "nigger", it is not something you call friends when you're black and unlike "queer" it's not a word that has been reclaimed by the community it was offensive to or some such. It is a race-based insult and explicitly offensive with no other possible meaning or positive context associated to it.
