It's clear to everyone here that they will never let go of #GamerGate because it's one of the major battles in today's culture war that they didn't win.GAMERGATE!
Did I get your attention? I knew it.
Tremble in fear as some tard posts a 2017 article connecting ALL. THE. DOTS. and other tards shake their heads and say "if only we had known":
Gamergate: How the writers of Portal and Psychonauts (Old Man Murray's creators) helped it's inception
https://www.mic.com/articles/180888/erik-wolpaw-chet-faliszek-old-man-murray-untold-origins-of-gamergate-harassment-abuse-gaming-culture Today, most people probably aren’t familiar with Old Man Murray, a gaming and humor website that ran from 1997 to 2002. Its writers and founders may ring a...www.resetera.com
With the coronavirus thing going on, I won't be surprised if most of these video game news websites will either go out of business or fade into obscurity and if you ask me this will be a welcoming change as gamers won't have to deal with hacks that write these shitty articles for the most part anymore.Don't really know where else to post this: Jason Schreier is leaving Kotaku.
Guess he did one last favour by posting the Grand Theft Auto article for them.
For whatever reason, people think this guy is a "good journalist" because he's leaked a few games. Frankly, it just goes to show how bad journalism is right now.
If "investigative journalism" is knowing some people who tell you about corporate drama, and then framing it in complete one-sided fashion to push unionism that you very much have a vested interest in, then of course Schreier is at the top of that hierarchy.
His worst offence in this manner, in my opinion, was the Randy Pitchford-Gearbox bonus fiasco.
Based off his reporting, a ton of YT pundits read the incendiary headline, a paragraph or 2, and started spreading patently false information, and buying into propaganda. AngryJoe probably being the worst example.
And of course, no one wants to look at the other side of the coin, which only requires actually reading the article, because it's Randy Pitchford.
So despite them bitching about #GamerGate despite that old Internet drama being dead for years now, it seems that the term 'Get Woke, Go Broke' will then apply to them soon and they may as well 'Learn to Code' while they're at it.
