The problem here is that capital supports luxury ideologies. Woke Capital is pretty much the dominant variety of capital, and all the social media companies are firmly on the side of leftism and promoting degeneracy.

"Capital" does support luxury ideologies, just look at the environmentalism fad about 15 years ago, or micro transactions in games today, but "woke capital" has proven to be a failure time after time. It's why anti-woke people love the phrase "Get woke, go broke".

In short, they don't buy things. Comics are a great example where the woke will buy issue 1 of fem-Thor or gay Ice Man, take a few selfies for Twitter, then dump it in the trash because they don't give a shit. Even when they do buy things it's rarely enough to make up for lost fans, as we saw with Star Wars Solo and Dr Who.

It's always been said these industries are catering to people who don't buy their products. They apparently have not learned that yet despite several lessons. Marvel and DC are cutting tons of jobs, Disney has pretty much killed Star Wars, gamers have been "rising up" since 2014 over this nonsense (though I wish they'd have done the same over mtx in games). It will eventually get so bad that companies will have no choice but to drop the woke shit. Star Trek is slowly going that way because the toymakers are apparently going apeshit at CBS over it.

Gamers can't do anything about micro transactions because it's not gamers buying them. It's either children who don't know any different, or rich adults who put 5 or 6 figures into a single game. Short of being able to make every game a publisher crippling disaster, there's no way to really fight that. Especially when devs have figured out they can launch a game without mtx and then add them later via patch.

I personally don't play games with mtx when I can help it, and I doubt I'm alone, but that's usually because AAA games have been awful for a long time.

I can't confirm, but the word is the shooter is part of a pro BLM militia that's against looting. From what I've gathered the dude that got shot in the head was trying to loot, then started antagonizing the guys defending the place. In one video you can see him try to run up on the guy with the gun before he gets popped. A crowd then chased and tried to swarm the guy. One dude, who had a handgun, is missing a massive chunk of his arm for his trouble. Hope he loses it.
