NeoGAF & ResetERA - The Hilarious N̶e̶v̶e̶r̶e̶n̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ Splintering "Gaming" Forum Circus

I hope it's fun and not pretentious.

it’s a square enix take on strong womyn. It’s going to be pretentious.

Not much though another trailer came out today. It's about an ordinary woman who winds up in a fantasy world. Project Athia was the working title. The official title is "Forspoken".
I just looked up this game and it is developed by Luminous Productions. A subsidiary of Square Enix created in 2018 to "Create Games for a Global Audience"

Their only other game is Final Fantasy 15 which they only helped with.

The writer and team lead is Gary Whitta who was editor in chief for PC Gamer and was a story consultant for HALO 5.

This game is probably gonna be awful.

You know something an actual strong whammen would do?

Not be in a Squenix game.
And of course light skin bitch with shaved side and straight hair, all those strong black womyn protagonists look exactly the same
It's funny how much coded racism is in every piece of wokeshit media. They'll throw in a black woman and then just basically have her be a white woman shaded a few tones darker. You'll never have some legit Grace Jones level badass.

I'm just surprised they didn't give her white or blonde hair. That seems to be the case of almost every black woman in a japanese made game. Or is this going to be American made?
It is Western made. The only Japanese development for it from what I can tell is the graphic engine and animations. Which is done by Luminous Productions. A subsidiary Square Enix.

Everything else development wise looks like westerners. For instance the the writer and team lead is Gary Whitta who was editor in chief for PC Gamer, a screenplay writer and was a story consultant for couple games.

He also lives in California.

It also explains why Square showed this at their Western conference and not their Japanese one.

Also really, really explains why the main girl has the stereotypical western, "I'm a tough girl" shaved side haircut.

Square Enix also does CGI for western documentaries. They did all the prehistoric hominids and ice age mammals for "Out of The Cradle".

This isn't really out of the norm for them.

Even though it looks like a white model in blackface with vaguely black-person hair, you can tell it's a black woman because of precisely 73,143 gold colored bracelets.

It's totally a sheltered California white dude's fever dream of what a black woman looks like.
