Basically, the issue with Echo Chambers is this: You might for a while suppress wrongthink and keep the cultists focused and on-task, but after they fulfill their initial directives, they grow restless. They need to take on new challenges. At first, they'll focus on the outside, but since status is not easily earned, but in fact, taken within the echo chamber, there's always going to be users waiting in the wings like a pack of wolves for the slightest misstep to report them to the commissariat. They're incentivized to. And eventually, once the battery of initial trolls and dipshits within the nest are dealt with, they'll cheerfully turn on one another to deal with their rivals.
