This is probably the funny thing about ResetEra and their hate boner for Japanese media in general.

Now I don't know if they know this but when it comes to those anime games from Japan, a lot of the times the people that design those characters are not actually men. In a lot of cases, it's women who design those female anime characters in those video games.

Now I'm going to use the Hyperdimention Neptuinia games here as an example since this is one of the more popular anime games out there that a lot of people are pretty familiar with when it comes to these anime games in general. The person that designed many of the characters that are seen in the Hyperdimention Neptuinia series is a Japanese woman that is simply known as 'Tsunako' and she was the one that made many of the characters in those games pretty much look like how they are now.

And this isn't all that atypical either. Much of the anime, manga, and video game industries in Japan are lead by women where those Japanese women just sit there and design the characters and artwork, write a story, and plan out how said story will play out for these forms of media.

And those same Japanese women do tend to draw their characters with big tits or show legs or anything else like that for character designs because for starters sex does sell (let's face it a lot of male weebs like these games because the characters are attractive and you can't blame them) and two it's because many of those female Japanese game designers like to draw female characters that way for them to show off their femininity and show how really strong characters they are.

If ResetEra took the time to understand this then maybe they wouldn't look as dumb as they are now.

Well to be fair, what is happening in the Amazon rain forest now is one of the biggest natural disasters ever and we depend on the Amazon rain forest for much of the world's oxygen supply but seeing them sperg out over Brazil's current president when he has nothing to do with this is stupid.

I walked/drove through Yellowstone after the fire in '88 and seeing the enormity of what a fire like that can do does one thing for certain - lets you know how small and powerless one human or group of humans are in comparison. Doesn't matter where it started or who/what started it. It's going to burn and burn until it stops of its own accord. Everything will look black and dead for a year or two, but it will regrow faster than you'd think it would, with no help from us.

Also, know what less oxygen in the atmosphere means? Fewer wildfires.

When I was little, local environmental groups lobbied to have a former coal mine turned into a wind farm. After billions were spent, the same groups lobbied to have them removed because they interferes with migratory bird patterns. They want attention and their only tool is outrage

You'd think, with how many progressives live within spitting distance of California and Colorado, two locations with some of the worst wildfires, there'd be more awareness of this subject, but somehow it doesn't surprise me that they're not that smart.

I remember, back in the 90s, there was a massive fire that tore through the Long Island pine barrens. We had a massive dry season for several months, so there was ample fuel in the form of dry grass and pine needles. All it needed was a spark, which some dipshit motorist provided by hurling a cigarette butt out the window of his car. It started in early August and by the time it was finally extinguished, over 7000 acres had burned to the ground. The weather created an apocalypse scenario, where the fire would get so hot that the pine trees would literally fucking explode. This was a big deal, because the Pine Barrens are necessary to keep Long Island's drinking water supplied (it's a natural recharge area). In the end, though, everything was fine within like five years, despite some truly horrific predictions by some of the town parks' departments.

The reason is that Pine Barrens need periodic fires in order to clear away old growth.

There has long been some sort of weird lolcow cross-over between the far-left and how Islamist men treat and view women.

Islam is notorious for it, but hyper-conservative Christians and Jews are the exact same way. But this actually makes sense as both Christianity and Islam originated from Judaism and share many of the same religious text. It's really just a conservative religious stance in general, the only difference is that Muslims invented the burqa before Islam was a thing and eagerly brought it to the modern day. Hasidic Jews aren't very far off from that, though, and sometimes I think Christian fundies kick themselves for not coming up with the burqa themselves (though they'd never admit or use it since they consider Islam to be one of the mortal enemies rather than their closest ally).

This isn't really true, well it's sorta true. Velvet got her clothes from a box full of clothes and weapons she finds in the dungeons she's being kept in. The dungeon is on an island separated from the rest of society, basically just a prison island, not a sewer.

SteelBeast6Beets is right Velvet appearance is absolutely no concern to her. I think it's even brought up and she says that she doesn't really care, though I could be wrong about that.

Also, she doesn't really get any of the normal convenience that clothes would give a regular person as she is immune to the elements. Velvet could stand stark naked in a blizzard and it wouldn't matter because she's a demon. Realistically the only clothing Velvet would need is a bra and it's not like Velvet meant to be "smart" she's not stupid sure. But she's really just supposed to have average intelligence.

I would have just ignored this usually because people have always complained about Velvet design, but I get annoyed when people get really basic lore details of games wrong.
