NeoGAF & ResetERA - The Hilarious N̶e̶v̶e̶r̶e̶n̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ Splintering "Gaming" Forum Circus

So they're doing the Netflix route of producing their own content to save costs, then the guy says he THINKS this will lead to lesser titles coming out... Which didn't happen to Netflix so what the fuck of analysis is that?
The difference in quality between House of Cards and cowboy bebop is pretty stark. Netflix’s original product quality worsened the more they relied on it.

I'm just catching up on the thread but I clicked on the "That crushing moment when a content creator reveals their shitty beliefs" and on the first page...

Lots of delicious salt in this thread:

Republicans successfully filibuster the Freedom To Vote Act and John Lewis VRA act. Next, up a vote on changing filibuster rules (UP: Defeated)

US Democrats believe the Republicans want to take people's voting rights away, and they're right if we're talking about illegal immigrants, pets, and dead people. So the Democrats have been pushing bills to make more voting happen by mail and other ways that you could seemingly cheat with. These bills are all being struck down. But the fun comes in how angry and defeated Resetera members are.

Yes, please do it. Every one of you guys should leave the country. Go live in Africa.

This guy at least gets it better than the rest of them:

Democrats always try to give more and more power to the government, while assuming that it will always be Democrats in charge.

That's not how executive orders work, Tahnit. Also, as dumb as Biden is, even he wouldn't do that.

It’ll turn out profitably because everybody who wants to play CoD this gen will buy whatever box MS is pushing right now. There’s one or two more CoDs for PS5 owners before this deal gets finalized, and after that it’s over.
That I'm not too sure about. Even after the Bethesda deal was finalized they've only ever said exclusivity will be on a case-by-case basis. There's already precedent with Minecraft being released on literally everything, for example. I can see new/smaller IPs being Microsoft exclusive, and legacy franchises also being on PS5.

Also assumes that these small businesses have the same politics or that these small businesses are interested in making their livelihoods a political stunt. Even some turbo wimp like Kenji Lopez had to apologize after kicking Republicans out of his restaurant after it tanked his sales.

They've already stated that marquee games like Elder Scrolls will now be exclusive.

MS isn't going to give up 30% of every dollar in individual sales just so they can make Playstation fans happy.

What they're going to do is tie up a shit ton of games in an exclusive ecosystem. MS wants these games on GamePass first and want GamePass on Playstation. They'll want Sony to allow GamePass on the PS but only these exclusive MS games, like EA Play.

It's like they don't realize you're not just losing half your business with that bullshit because even some Democrats are going to realize you're a complete asshole whose business they don't want to patronize.

Aside from what's already mentioned about how this is totally not legal, it would not take years, not only would the states just ignore it rather than follow an illegal order (which the Democrats would have to be suing to enforce), the Supreme Court would absolutely strike it down immediately if it had to.

Like, I'm imagining this dude and others like him probably did a bunch of whining the other day when the Court struck down the OSHA order but they don't put two and two together to recognize how fast the Court acted to do that before it took effect. But no, they (and the rest of the court system) probably totally would let the process play out at its maximum extent if the President issued an illegal executive order to take over all elections nationally.

I am always mind-boggled at the sheer stupidity and ignorance of these morons who are apparently completely unaware of the existence of the Supreme Court and that it is the most conservative it has been since the Lochner era. Grow a brain you mindless asshats, you are not losing in this environment, not for at least 20-30 years.

Reset failed Civics 101.

Nothing unites Republicans like trying to pass laws making it literally legal to cheat them out of elections. Besides, why do we need to change voting laws after the most successful and fortified and secure and non-fraudulent election in all of human history under the current laws?
