First time in a while posting on this thread to say that people still critiquing A.I. art in this fashion is just proof that A.I. art did nothing wrong. If a user like this is that picky to complain about stuff like this, then why won’t they post their art for their users to compare and critique?View attachment 4079349
It would be very funny if someone went into their artist thread and started critiquing their shitty illustrations like this and then started accusing them of posting AI art
It's an odd problem because it's something that can "draw perfectly" but has no awareness nor capacity for understanding visual information the way we do. Their art is crappy but the parts are generally in the right place if shoddily done, this is "perfectly" "drawn", but things aren't where they are supposed to be located, normally. It's like if Picasso was blind from birth, or some other weird metaphor.View attachment 4079349

Gotta love people being so smug by pointing out flaws in AI art like it means anything. As if human-made art is free of any mistakes or blemishes.View attachment 4079349

So far, any actually good AI I've seen has been from people with actual artistic skill who put a good deal of effort into massaging what comes out of it after they give it very specific positive and negative prompts, tweak the model, and do all other kinds of shit I can't do.Gotta love people being so smug by pointing out flaws in AI art like it means anything. I suppose it's okay if you want to generate thousands of throwaway waifus and pony avatars, but any actual artist threatened by that is, well, isn't one really.
I've seen numerous good bits of AI art by people who only know how to plug in words into a program. Generic, sure, but still aesthetically pleasing. Honestly more often than not I like the weird shit people make by throwing in random words and seeing what sticks. So far, any actually good AI I've seen has been from people with actual artistic skill who put a good deal of effort into massaging what comes out of it after they give it very specific positive and negative prompts, tweak the model, and do all other kinds of shit I can't do.

you dont understand, its 100% plagiarism and is literally throwing millions of artists on the street and directly impacting the ultra lucrative careers of countless professionals and if you disagree:

That user really brought Chainsaw Man into this. Typical latching onto popular cultural entertainment to gain more following by thinking that your cultured for pats on the back. It's kind of interesting seeing a new "progressive" stance form and then force itself into every unrelated conversation to reinforce itself to become dogma.

Silencing of dissent on Twitter is bad...as your site regularly tosses out bans for white fragility, concern trolling, dismissal commentary, and other forms of dissent.Twitter bans 6 journalists and resetera goes insane

Bro it's literally a retarded trashfire of a website barely 2% of the American population uses. It's not a fucking country in the physical world. If Elon bans people that's not equivalent in any way to rounding them up and killing them, in fact it does them a service as they'd be forced to go outside. I'd ask if this user has ever logged off and touched grass but I'm gonna go ahead and guess no.
Again false argument. Websites can chose not to be scraped. And things can be set to private. No one is even mentioning transformative use etc because it isn't the point. If it's online that means I have legal access to it, I'm not just stealing it, and I'm entirely entitled to make transformative fair use of it.
No it isn't, it's literally the law. Something with "substantial noninfringing uses" doesn't get outlawed simply because it can be used for something illegal. Sony v. Universal (the "Betamax case").
But twitter is the world for them, anything with a thousand retweets means the society has spoken. Unfortunately, this is a viewpoint held not just by resetera.Bro it's literally a retarded trashfire of a website barely 2% of the American population uses. This is what happens when you try to turn a hobby into a job: you think you’re hot shit until you realize you’re not making good money because you don’t have a real job, so you get aggressive over anything they could threaten your fake job.you dont understand, its 100% plagiarism and is literally throwing millions of artists on the street and directly impacting the ultra lucrative careers of countless professionals and if you disagree:
