For Hogwarts Legacy we probably need to keep an eye on the gaming side for people sneaking mentions here and there and the meltdowns that ensure because of that.

Why do people want to play Souls with accessibility? You need patience before accessibility. Barring people with the slowest reaction times, if you're patient and willing to farm for souls/runes like the SP kids in Make Love Not War, you should be fine with most bosses. But that patience part is why I don't care for Souls games so kudos to those who can beat those games, cool for their bragging rights.

I don't think these people actually play games, really. We all know they don't have day jobs, but even then who has the time to play games when you can just bitch about them being transphobic online all day long instead?

Some weird troon at Wired also reviewed Hogwarts Legacy and gave it a 1/10. ResetEra is going to be very proud of this review:

It is not what you think, it is not that they want accessibility. Souls games have been completed by people with 0 arms using modified controllers for their feet on twitch. They just want the devs to bow down and do what they say. It is about control, not the game in question. Souls likes are targeted by them because of the high profile and peoples prestige of completing them with all sorts of handicaps. Games journos have been at the side of the tranny of Easy Mode bitching for another reason as well. Their deadlines to write their hot takes about newly released games. So they ask for easy modes so they can steamroll the content and produce their clickbait.

I never considered that part of not being able to beat the game on the journos part. That does open my eyes to it. I was just coming from the fact that these people want everything to bow down to them and want to experience everything. But no matter what, everyone chasing these things will still be empty on the inside and unsatisfied with their lives because they chase experiences to make them whole rather than being made whole. It frustrates me to no end. You (they) will never be satisfied but how would they know when they put their hope in idols (video games) that can't talk, hear, and see, just as they can't see and hear themselves?

What's funny is that Nepenthe doesn't realize that socialism is less popular with Black Democrats than white Democrats. The Stop Bernie movement in 2020 was focused around Black Democrats because they could be energized against it, whites couldn't. No matter what Black (and other minority) Democrats may say with their rhetoric they understand the necessity of capitalism to fund the welfare state they desire and the importance of capitalism to getting Blacks into elite segments of society. To put it in negative terms, they want to grift not do an ideological social experiment.

Nepenthe and these other idiots don't realize that their very own theories can explain why Blacks would be distrustful of the state being better for Blacks than the free market plus welfare. They focus relentlessly on historical systematic racism but turn a blind eye to the history of the state, and the Democratic Party and progressives specifically, as the means to shunt Blacks aside in the name of helping poor whites with things like unions (that keep out Blacks) or "public works" (that never hired Blacks) and so on. They even openly post this sometimes when they're doing their diatribes about how white supremacy controls everything but they never make the connection. They tell everybody a giant white supremacist conspiracy controls the government and then turn around and say "but you should allow the government to control everything in your life" but can't understand the "betrayal" for "centrism" (aka not immediate Maoism) Black voters regularly participate in.

Again, as always, no theory of mind.

Like the other dude said, it's all about control.

The journos would love to think that they can steer and pressure the industry or developers and thus making their words even more powerful. They love to think that they are writing important literature or op-ed, not just gaming. Because if it works on one, others might get pressured and the journos may get more exposure/incentives etc.

Which is why they puffed up games like Deathloop. Everyone praising it like some masterpiece, but more honest youtubers and players actually disagree, and truly enough, Deathloop got middling sales, even though it is critically acclaimed.

Same with Souls, if they can succeed in pressuring for difficulty under the guise of accessibility, next they can pressure for diversity and other woke stuffs. Same with Hogwarts.

It's all about control.
