I wonder how many video game sites will cover this? I'm guessing the trinity of digital AIDS (Vice, Kotaku, Polygon) will act as though this isn't relevant to video games, and instead cover more random women, and men claiming to be women, getting mean tweets.

The sad part is the posters who care more about the forums reputation to the point of "wow plz don't post things that reflect bad on us"

That and like...shouldn't Malka maybe at least say "hey we're in contact with authorities and will comply if they feel a need to check ami's account". Rather than just "not our problem lol"

Everyone on Voat knew Amir0x's real name and I'm supposed to believe none of the gaf mods did? Amir0x posted his name on Neogaf multiple times, most notably during the Go Fund Me Lord Virgin references.

Saying a long time former mod with over 100,000 posts and ban immunity was just a "regular member" is an incredible lie.

I think he and the other mods are trying to put as much distance between themselves and Amirox as possible out of fear of the authorities investigating the site later on. That dude's been a part of Neogaf for over a decade and has collaborated with Tyler and the other mods for years, so who knows how much dirt he has on them.

If there was any possibility of getting a lighter sentence by telling the cops about some illegal shit they've been doing (such as pedophilia), he'd jump on it ASAP. Thus, Tyler and his stooges would try to erase anything that would link Amirox to them, otherwise the consequences could be dire.
