Question: if a guy legit speaks and writes like this, then he's right because he's proud of his heritage. But if I went around as an oppressive white man speaking like that, and not even talking like crazy stereotypes such OH SHIT MUH NIGGA or anything, but pretty much like that dude wrote right there, I'd be called out for mocking him and I would be labeled as a racist. What I don't get is the outrage over this. You could label me as an asshole, or that I was disrespectful, but the amount of sheer anger over something like that is astonishing.

And my completely uneducated theory is that he isn't actually proud of his heritage. Who could blame him, his heritage sucks. Therefore there is this high level of insecurity, like going to a date with your armpits crazy sweated and you're tripping balls over the possibility of she noticing it. If the chick calls you out on it, there's a good chance you will overreact.

Strange how a forum which is was all about diversity and inclusiveness prided itself on exclusivity.

They also prided themselves on their ability to derail even the most benign threads with some stupid joke in the first or second post that would get endlessly reposted with the only reply being "wow" or "first post, thread over" or some tired GIF. Malka even pointed this out as a negative aspect of his forum's culture but it went on.

Recently there was an Oculus thread regarding the $200 headset, which only came in the color white, and some dipshit cracked a joke along the lines of "Just like Palmer Luckey would have wanted" which ruined the rest of the thread.

GAF users love to dogpile and laugh at their own jokes like hyenas.

They're always going to have moles, that is the nature of more people interested in trolling you than legitimately joining your forum. They needed to have their forum up 2 days ago, while NeoGAF was down. This is such an embarrassing shit-show of a forum launch, by any standards. Hilarious that Polygon and buddy gamejournos are pushing this place.

I have to agree with Jiraiza, all this covert ops shit of making the forums a challenge to get onto is only going to limit it's growth in the long run.
