He's not even anti-UBI. He's just not creating overt propaganda. Instead he's talking about lack of work having an impact on the human condition.

Tim Soret holds very typical liberal views (in the context of the 90s). The simple fact he's has nuanced criticism of SocJus politics is enough to send old-NeoGAF and current-ResetEra into a blood-fueled rage.

The guy may as well be Hitler, despite him probably agreeing with 90% of progressive talking points. It's a great example of witch hunt over purity testing.

She was also one of the odious fucks who was behind the whole Drivethrurpg/RpgNow thing, where, as a representative of Paizo, she conducted open warfare on other companies products.

Suffice to say this proved remarkably unpopular and led to her being shit-canned, at which point she accused her employers of sexism. She's a shrieking histrionic nutbar that has brought economic ruin and drama to every company that has ever employed her, and yet somehow, like an Autistic tumor, she keeps finding work due to the usual ideological shenanigans.

The fact that ResetERA can't countenance this speaks volumes about that website.

It won't be surprising if they treat The Last Night like say Kingdom Come Deliverance in that the game is automatically terrible because of the dev, even though Tim isn't like Vavra in that the former didn't do much else with GG beyond some old tweets that were dugged up as a sort of damning proof.

While some people sperg his game could be in a "feminist future", it was mentioned that the game is focusing more on things like how people are within an automated future and universal income. Tackling that as part of a cyberpunk would no doubt be interesting but it would cause some to think the game is gonna be goobergrape conservative crap because they'll jump the gun and think it's a flat-out condemnation or something similar along those lines.

UBI is going to be tackled along with automation. The game could no doubt tackle some sort of downside to it but once the game comes out, one can expect some spergs to get on their high horses and say how it'll get something wrong related to automation and the like.

Some of these are fucking amazing. People claiming Fries didn't deserve firing are being banned for "misogynistic double standard." People who sum up the event accurately are being banned for victim blaming, downplaying the influence and impact of harassment campaigns (read: going against muh narrative), or "downplaying institutional sexism." Even acknowledging that Kotaku and Polygon are shit for going for the story are being met with bans.

Even by the shattering censorship standards of ResetERA, this is fucking ludicrous.
