Regarding this sperging on ResetEra, I'm sure that the reason why these spergs hate video games with sexualized characters and themes so much is because all of those attractive fictional women characters in video games represent everything that they wish they can be in real life.

I don't need a PhD in Psychology to figure these losers out and I'm sure that on the scale of 1 to 10 on the Attractiveness Scale a good chunk of the ResetEra community are probably a 2 at best on the Attractiveness Scale and I'm sure that these self-loathing speds can't stand being at the bottom of the barrel when it comes on who is able to reproduce and spread their genes in the gene pool.

To put it another way, these people hate attractive fictional female characters because in reality these speds are ugly on the inside and the outside and can't stand getting rejected by the more attractive individuals in real life.

For all of the legbeard cat ladies, any female users on ResetEra (if there are any) hate attractive female characters not because of 'muh sexism' but because it's obvious that in real life if these fictional female characters existed like you and me then these said characters would obviously attract a lot of men (mostly the alpha males) because of the attractive looks and a feminine personality are big factors in what a lot of men look for in a woman. No man (especially attractive and successful men) want a woman that is full of insecurities and can't take care of herself. The successful and confidant men will always go after the beautiful women. The successful and confidant men will always reject the legbeards because they don't want to deal with a legbeard's insecurities and other really dumb bullshit in the long run. To put it in a nutshell of why we see all of the ResetEra legbeards behave this way, all of the legbeards in general hate attractive women (whether in real life or fictional) because they get all of the men to pay attention to them and they get nothing in the long run and they don't want to put any effort to better themselves to get men to like them.

As for the neckbeards on ResetEra, I'm sure that all of the beta male users on ResetEra hate attractive fictional female characters for two reasons. The first reason is because they want good boy points from their female peers to show their female third-wave feminist peers that they are the 'good men' and they're probably only adopting these ideas because these neckbeards have the infamous Nice Guy Syndrome where this is probably a shallow attempt to get laid for once. The second reason is that these beta males on ResetEra hate attractive female characters is probably because subconsciously they remind them of all of the rejections that they gotten from their attractive female peers in real life and they don't like being put in the 'friendzone' while a buff alpha male will get that same attractive woman. Simply put, they want to see women being as ugly as they are to even out the score and don't want to put any effort to improve their lives in real life to get those same attractive women to like them.

In conclusion, ResetEra hates attractive female characters in general because they symbolically represent (that unless these speds decide to better their own lives) that they will die old and alone in the pile of their own filth and life will go on without them. The beautiful men and women will get laid and be happy, the ResetEra community will never have this fulfillment in their lives.

It's pretty sad that at least Chris-Chan will not die a virgin with rage while the ResetEra community will all die virgins and alone when they reach the end of their natural lifespans, bitter and alone in the end.

There's also the matter that, despite calling itself a gaming forum, the site barely has anything to do with discussing games. The majority of the content consists of bitching about the latest outrage, trying to make "problematic" games & developers pariahs, and making up "woke" fanfiction of their boring lives. The times where they do try to talk about a game can quickly become derailed to "start a conversation", so even that's a crapshoot.

All in all, it's a pretty shitty place to be someone interested in games.

ResetERA neets and SJWs alike have a collective vendetta against an ideological beauty standard. Advertising and entertainment has used attractive, thin, biologically born bodies for years because 1). sex sells and 2). it's an effective marketing strategy: our product is awesome, and good looking people use this product, and you want to look good too, right? As for video games, player characters have nice bodies because 1). men like nice tits and tight asses, yes, but more importantly, 2). Everyone has an issue with their own body image, and video games give them the opportunity to "live" in a "better" body. Does anyone REALLY want to run through an adventure as some pockmarked hambeast? No, not unless they're playing something like Saints Row and doing it ironically.

This beauty standard also exists because biologically, humans are programmed to go after attractive people. It's an inherent instinct. Obese people are not taking care of themselves; therefore they are not healthy, therefore their babies won't be healthy, and it creates a sense of revulsion in the viewer's eye. Same thing applies to rail-thin people who starve themselves.

Feminist rhetoric has long perpetuated the belief that this beauty standard leads to eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia. Now, never mind that we're at an age where modern health science makes it clear starving yourself to death in order to look good is doing it wrong. If you put some extra walking into your routine, stop eating sugary shit and reduce an entire pizza at mealtime to maybe three slices, you will start to see results. But the SJW solution is to say "Girl, fat is healthy and beautiful, and you can't do anything about it anywayez so stop trying" No, obesity fucks up your blood pressure and cholesterol. It weakens your bones, and it squeezes your heart until it stops working.

They tell people to stay on their couch and embrace this "new" culture of body love. In the meantime, those who are fit are shamed, and there is a clear war on sexy. Instead of encouraging people to get off their fat asses and stop eating ice cream, the better solution is bullying and censoring good-looking people out of existence. We're ushering in body "diversity" by making sexy disappear. Artists who draw sexy women get harassed into compliance. You see it all the time on Twitter.

Because you should never strive to improve yourself, or use someone who has achieved more as a model to get better. You shouldn't have to share this planet with them at all; it is easier to make them go away.

And now, finally, SJWs are noticing that animu waifus hold up that loathed beauty standard. They use the laziest argument to excuse censoring it: "It's all underage pedo shit anyway." Most of the 'mysterious light' pictures I've seen depicted were grown women with fully developed breasts. Big breasts, exaggerated breasts, but adult breasts nonetheless. "It's all underage pedo shit, and you are perverts for wanting to keep it around" is an easy out. It makes all those outside these circuses look the other way as anime art continues getting edited and 'corrected' into nonexistence. I never had an account on NeoGAF, but I did watch certain threads on the forums.
My only experiences with NeoGAF come in 2011-2012, during the time period of Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
The hype train for it was real and when a certain user named lupinko began dropping hints on the roster (including DLC), people lost their minds! It was entertaining to watch the speculation.
This changed with Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. The whole PR campaign for the game was a disaster, insulting and spite for the fans, and Marvel not allowing X-Men characters in the game because Muh MCU (even though Marvel STILL have the rights for those characters, just not the film rights for now). I was disappointed with the whole thing and I was not the only one as I checked forum after forum including NeoGAF.
Then, the implosion happened.
