They'll try to claim gay/trans rights should also be pedophile rights, or that the logical bans on loli/shota content - something done to prevent pedos from trying to use it as spankbait - are overblown, because they know that fucking no one will accept pedophile acceptance as a mainstream platform.
Honestly, fictional drawings being attacked actually is overblown. Yes, some disgusting people will use arguably distasteful art for their immoral fantasies, but if you haven't seen recently with Sony and Valve, the whole idea of art being "spankbait for pedos" has been used to move the goalposts and ban anime games with college students. We should not give censors an inch, because they take a mile. The idea of banning lolicon/shotacon may have good intentions, but it only serves as a starting point for wider censorship campaigns against anime content.
*cough* Reddit *cough*
Now imagine if the GOVERNMENT started doing this. Anime fans would have to surf Pixiv from behind seven proxies and a Japanese VPN endpoint to get around the inevitable Great Firewall, along with having to pay for their VPN with Monero. (because face it, VPNs would need to be outlawed like in China and Russia) They'd also have to somehow avoid being caught up in NSA's PRISM. The amount of surveillance they would need to stomp down on weebs downloading hentai would be worse than China.
Now, ResetERA have been proponents of censoring Japanese games and yelling about "sexualization of minors" even if the characters they are whining about don't even look like children. It's hypocrisy at it's peak and I hope ResetERA suffers for censoring Catherine: Full Body and trying to censor Persona. They have a hate boner for Japanese games... probably because Japan doesn't give a damn about the harpies screeching like crazy.
So instead, they have been infiltrating and brow-beating localizers. If all else fails they literally de-platform games. (e.g. Sony cancelling Omega Labyrinth Z's western release right before launch) They even de-financed localization of a hentai game that had a campaign on IndieGOGO. Then we have Valve banning a game for "child exploitation" despite it getting a T rating from the ESRB.
Anita Sarkeesian was lying when she said they didn't want to take away our games. They are doing just that by using the same corporate policy wanking they do with political dissidents on Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc.
