I personally never used NeoGAF myself during its 'Golden Years' but from what I heard it wasn't always a bad place filled with dipshits. All I know is that it started out as a fun place where people could have fun and have wholesome discussions about video games but Tyler Malka (EviLore) pretty much made the fatal mistake of letting the far-left run rampant on NeoGAF and didn't stamped it out while it was still small and what would then resulted in the aftermath is now just a group of individuals that LARP as Bolshevik revolutionaries and shit.

It's not really the ideology that is to blame here.

Both the Nazis and Communists historically had megapedos in their ranks, so being a sex deviant is not really something that is ideologically driven.

ResetERA is pretty balls deep in the idea of "rules for thee, but not for me" when it suits them, and One Angry Gamer (William Usher's ideologically opposed blog) is just the same when you get right down to it, and the right has just as many sex pests too (like the porn star who was pro-GG who turned out to be a pedophile), they just manifest their deviance in different ways, but the common factor in both sides having such deviants is allowing them a double standard to shield themselves with to justify such things, and that's really an internal flaw with not being held to their own rules as opposed to an inherent flaw in whatever political compass they have.
