Also on Twitter, troons are still seething and trying to drag this game through the mud, however it's not working too well because troons are a minority and Ion Fury is still in the Steam topsellers list.

The review bomb is also doing pretty poorly, from the low amount of reviews:

Even the "Recent Reviews" indicator, created specifically to deal with review bombs, still has it at "Very Positive." There are something like 66 negative reviews, most of them with legitimate sounding beefs about the game. The few pathetic REEEEEEviews stick out like a sore thumb and there aren't very many of them.

In the end, some shit happened, the ramifications of which are still being felt to this day, and a good chuckle was had by us.

For the Anti-GG crowd, however, GG was Autism Vietnam - a conflict that they thought was going to be an easy victory and quickly turned into an unwinnable quagmire for them.

Their theory was that by breaking GG at the head, they could stop it. After all, it had worked on everyone else they'd done it on. The problem, of course, is that they clearly had no idea how the Streisand Effect worked: every single thing they did to stop GG didn't just fail - it made it bigger and harder for them to stop using their usual methods. It helped that to a man, they were fucking legendarily incompetent, surrounding lolcows and career fuck-ups like Brianna Wu and Zoe Quinn, who surrounded themselves with, impossibly, even bigger career fuck-ups.

Yet despite the fact that the Autism War ended pretty resoundingly in 2015, if you check any mainstream news site, there are literally articles on GG that came out within the last three days, and communities like NeoGAF/ResetERA never shut up about it. The reason is that for them, the loss is still fresh, and still hurts. For them it's the Autism Tet Offensive: The very first big loss which began their long, painful withdrawl from the region - and because of that, GG remains the thing they can't get over, a scar that's never healed.

Something jumped out at me earlier today and I thought I'd briefly share it with you. It has to do with the huge number of progressive outlets laying their staff off en masse and Games Journalism as a whole dying off slowly.

When you stop and think about it, almost all the big progressive outlets do nothing but sperg about the same shit. Orange Man Bad, China Good, etc, with all the usual idiot talking points. But really, who the fuck goes to a video game site to read about progressive politics? Nobody, and the metrics they've been getting are starting to reflect that. They may get rage-bait traffic, but not engagement or repeat users, and Twitter isn't a reliable money-making audience.

When you remember this shit, the fact that so many of these outlets are financially unstable at best and dying outright at worst makes a lot of sense. Nobody goes to some site the progtards took over for their idiot politics when there's plenty of other sites on yon tubernets (to take a jab at SGG) covering the same shit in the same way.
