JK Rowling has been on thin ice for a long time. Basically she stopped being their super progressive hero when she refused to make a very specific Harry Potter character gay, thus preventing their favorite gay fan ship to be canon. After that they started nitpicking to find anything "problematic", even within HP lore.

I had to explain to a normie friend the other day why people are mad at JK. They only made it half way through my explanation of what a TERF is and walked away laughing their ass off. I can't tell if he thought it was funny, or if he just didn't believe me.

First of all, you and your community actually think Colin Moriarty is a white supremacist/Nazi. Bad enough. But then you also think two people who've been friends for a while don't know each other better than you, and you must imply because Druckmann is a Jew, how could this Jew have wrong-think? How could this Jew have a shrine where he worships Hitler, and not shekels?

The worst part is... that confusion isn't going to sway them out of this mind set. I've seen it in person with people I've known most of my life. The othering is easy with celebrities. Every other day we find out X who was a paragon of virtue has just let loose a tirade of racial/sexist/whateverist vitriol at some waiter, photographer or rando. We knew the image/brand of X not X. Its a strange thing to be an individual talking to another individual and discover you've become a brand.

He made a joke and is a Republican Liberal. He ironically would want the Republican party to move closer to the middle and is pro-LGBT and such. While at the same time being for freedoms and a good work ethic. So he's the most annoying of enemies for them because he lessens their "Every Republican is the devil" cult.
