Jason landed a job at Bloomberg as a self titled "investigative journalist", so I guess he fashions himself as someone attempting to elevate the profession of games journalism, which has traditionally been nothing more than pop culture commentary. His obvious problem is that all of his pieces are tabloid - not setting out to inform or uncover things unknown to the non-industry reader, but rather to elicit an emotional response - click bait, a call to those who wallow in endless outrage and cancellations, etc.

Whatever, I don't have much of an opinion about the man. If he's earning a living grifting the types of people who frequent ResetEra then great. More power to him. They deserve each other.

My favourite example was Jim Sterling going on and on about entitled fans who were complaining about Mass Effect 3's ending and how it is bioware's artistic choices and you don't have to buy it if you don't like it. Then not long later going on about dragon crown's horribly misogynistic art that they had to change and screeching at anyone who dared to say maybe it's the developer's artistic choice and you don't have to buy it if you don't like it.
