Jason landed a job at Bloomberg as a self titled "investigative journalist", so I guess he fashions himself as someone attempting to elevate the profession of games journalism, which has traditionally been nothing more than pop culture commentary. His obvious problem is that all of his pieces are tabloid - not setting out to inform or uncover things unknown to the non-industry reader, but rather to elicit an emotional response - click bait, a call to those who wallow in endless outrage and cancellations, etc.
Whatever, I don't have much of an opinion about the man. If he's earning a living grifting the types of people who frequent ResetEra then great. More power to him. They deserve each other.
