New Earthworm Jim game made by the original team exclusive to Intellivision® Amico™ - Console that will never release gets a 5 second jogging animation

Everyone remembers him for his music but I remember him for being the annoying cohost on G4's Judgment Day tv show.
Yeah, same here. Nobody actually remembers him for his music, he's just a guy who self-promotes himself as some kind of legendary video game musician. He does have a discography dating back to the early 90s, but, well, just look at it. He's no Nobou Uematsu or Jeremy Soule. He's a shitty self-promoting lolcow.

Also, this is a more active thread on him, if you wanna see his latest antics

Hopefully Amico miraculously scams some more crowdfunding money. It's pretty clear they're incompetent at this point but if that helps us get EWJ, so be it.

>Wanting an incompetent company to get more money just to make a new game of a beloved old game series.
Did you learn anything from MightyNo9 and Shenmu 3?

MN9 isn't that bad, actually. I think it'd be well received if it was just some random indie game.

As for Shenmue 3, I really hope it's a similar case of exaggerated issues but something tells me it really won't be very good.

I mean how many good crowdfunded games are there? I can only think of Shovel Knight and Bloodstained.
Undertale
FTL Faster Than Light
The Banner Saga
Darkest Dungeon
Divinity Original Sin

That's pretty much including what you mentioned.

Given how much has been shown of this game, I’m almost willing to believe that no development has been done apart from that teeny concept they showed off. If they had anything worthwhile, they would have shown it off for this new round of crowdfunding. That is literally the only thing that could help generate the type of money Intellivision needs. The fact that they haven’t shown anything off speaks for itself.

Pity. Touch screen remotes legit looked interesting.

Imagine custom imput/controls for each game.

Remember what they took from you

Are you kidding me? It was extremely buggy and the Wii U version could brick the console.
I only played a couple levels on PS4 but it was serviceable.

Anyway, that's par for the course. Post-NGC Nintendo multiplats tend to be shit even if it's a good game, like Bloodstained on Switch (supposedly anyway, haven't tried it). It even applies to their handhelds, almost everything on 3DS was better played elsewhere if possible.

MN9's issue is they had the bright idea to get it working on every single console out there(including 3ds/vita though that never happened.) The Wii U version in particular was so bad because it was more or less cancelled during development and then rushed to release bc of backlash.

That was just ONE issue of MN9 out of many MANY others.
  • Feminist Dina sleeping her way to the top being the lead of community development and character design, shutting down any and all criticism of her when people started to ask questions (including banning backers from accessing the very same forums they paid to be a part of)
  • Features being scrapped, one of the reasons being a "tight budget" even though they got $4M on Kickstarter
  • Working on other MN9 related projects before MN9 was even released including an animated series.
  • Graphics so unbelievably bad, the Pizza explosion meme becomes a thing.
  • The infamous "it's better than nothing" line that got mocked by fucking everyone including SEGA of all people.
And that's just off the top of my head.

- Yes, but afaik that bitch had no real bearing on the game itself. She was just the canary in the coal mine.
- Tight budget/cuts happened because these retards also promised a working game across 8 wildly different platforms
- The people actually developing MN9 weren't involved in that Red Ash shit, Comcept itself was more or less a glorified Idea Guy who could only really exist by pitching more and more shit on kickstarter, but they failed to explain this properly. Same thing happened with Balan Wonderland, they just thought up the game and outsourced the real work to another company.
- Again, a result of having to develop for every fucking platform out there, game is made with lowest common denominator in mind.
- Fun fact on that, Inafune didn't actually say it, it was Ben Judd putting words in his mouth, not that it really changes anything, because it just goes to show how hilariously bad communication was on their end, it's just something to note because Ben Judd has an amusing history of his own(Getting fired from his own company for Sexual Harassment iirc, making Bionic Commando 2009)
