New Media Processor is Running

On a 2560x1440 desktop monitor, many videos, especially the vertical ones, are pretty small. The fullscreen option can be helpful but it's not ideal, and often it's just as bad in the opposite way, sort of like trying to watch a 60" tv with your face inches away. I don't suppose there's any way to make those a little larger?

Thanks for all the work, I think it's a massive improvement otherwise.
I use a 4K monitor. I would encourage you to raise your global scaling.

@Null

you missed a prime opportunity to have one of those little kiwi figures spinning in a circle during the loading/buffering wait. Or maybe make an little gif of one of the eggs going through it's hatching stages.

The plain white blob is pretty underwhelming.

Have the skateboard kiwi do a kickflip or spin around!

Or animate the America kiwi's quadbike driving.

Cheff's Kiss. Excellent UI, especially the playback speed button that cycles speeds as you click it. Showing the specific codecs & bitrates in the settings flyout is also a nice touch.

Only issue is that on Firefox when you fullscreen the video it keeps the same aspect ratio as the minimized video but fills the screen with black.

I even noticed the player accents change with the forum style (Halloween orange vs Standard).

I like the UI as well, it's looking great. I also have the same fullscreen problem. You can press this pop out video button to make it bigger and expand or make it fullscreen to fix the issue. Copying the video URL to a new tab seems to work fine too.

Edit: Fullscreen problem fixed now on my end. The only problem left is how the audio shows up in fullscreen.

I like the UI, but I dislike how it defaults open, rather than appearing on mouseover, only disappearing on play. Blocks part of the content, so I have to go in and press play to get rid of it to see the rest of the first frame, to see if I actually care to watch it.

Impressive. Very nice. I like that you're doing 720p in both formats.

The volume bar and speed change popups don't work for me. They kinda do in full screen but they're all the way in the corner so I think it's just a UI issue.

Good shit, but are you going to implement the cool new AV2 codec when it's finally out of development purgatory?
Not any time soon. That would require new cards to encode it (which will take years to even release much less be available to plebs for a reasonable price) and widespread hardware decoding on a lot of consumer hardware (which will take like a decade) to be worth it.

It works great, the old video player was easily the most annoying part of using the forum. Thank you Jersh.
