IS DEAD POPE FRANCIS GOOD?

I would like to see Robert Sarah become the next Pope. Very outspoken against faggotry and Islam, plus he's supportive of the Traditional Latin Mass.

If you're questioning your faith over one subpar Pope then you either know nothing of our Church's history or your faith is very weak.

I understand why people don't like Pope Francis, and I'm not exactly thrilled with him either, but the Catholic Church has survived far, far worse Popes in the past.

You also need to understand that being clergy, even being Pope, doesn't make a man any less of a fallen, sin prone, being. That is the human condition.
You believe the Pope can literally speak with infallible and perfect authority provided he says he is doing it. That's absolute insanity on the level of Mormonism
If you truly believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, then you should know that his word is truth itself, and Christ declared that the gates of Hell shall not triumph against his Church. There is nothing any given Pope, no matter how bad they may be, can do to make Christ a liar.
Jesus didn't make your church. The Roman Empire did when they bought into Christianity because one emperor got offended by his rival teaming up with some pagan senators. And then they decided to make Christianity more pagan to appeal to them. Although technically the real birth of the Catholic Church was in the 8th century when the Pope forged a document from said emperor claiming he was the best and deserved to rule half of Italy, and the warmongering king who just took over Italy believed it. This is documented history. Your church is founded on subversion and lies.

If they will get another Boomer, it's pretty much over for the church.
I cannot stress enough how much of an overreaction this is. Holding this sentiment is exactly what Satan wants from you.

Yes, a younger, passionate Pope would be great, but not getting one would not be the end of anything.

Seriously, if any of you think Pope Francis was really all that bad I encourage you to read up on the kind of Popes we've survived in the past, compared to these guys even Francis is a Saint.

the woman priests
There are no women priests in the Catholic Church. Women are not ordained, have never been ordained, and cannot be ordained.

In the past, the church had a lot more power and influence than now.
Literally no young people care about it today, even the Christian ones.
Get another out of touch Boomer who will "support the marginalized identities" and it's all lost.
Old people will die off soon and the young ones won't be there to replace them.

The above article lists some nice contenders, though as a Filipino I would not want Cardinal Tagle as the next pope. I'd expect Pope Francis' shortcomings from him and a bit more.

I think the man that the Church needs to succeed the Pope in this day and age is Cardinal Parolin.

Can we have Trump appoint the new Pope? Make the church great again. Get rid of all the gay shit, the woman priests, the fags preaching that Jesus was a trans illegal immigrant, etc.

Yes, Jesus loves everyone but he (probably) doesn't support celebrating their deviancy.

Not allowed under canon law and the Pope has no jurisdiction over whatever the hell is happening in Methodist/Episcopal/some other perversity churches.

He'd make a good pope. The future of the Church is in Africa and all other papabili like him are in Western countries where the grip of political parties is too strong for them to appear conciliatory in the case they choose to do so. That said, him nearing the age of 80 doesn't sound like he'll be having a long reign if he were to succeed the Pope beginning this year.

Whatever happens, it would be prudent for all Catholics to pray for the health and well-being of the Supreme Pontiff.

It could be argued that the Church had too much of the wrong kind of power and influence. Specifically political power and influence. Such things can be poisonous.

That's just not true. There are a lot of enthusiastic young Catholics in my parish, and in the parishes of other Catholics I know. The numbers are, in fact, in our favor with younger generations.

Again, I get that people don't like Pope Francis, but you should at least not like him for real reasons. All of what you call "supporting marginalized identities" amounts to the sentiment that we should hate the sin, not the sinner. It may be "based" to hate people for their sins, but that's not what Jesus taught. Did Christ shun sinners or did he sit with them? Did Christ cast the first stone at the adulterous woman, or did he show her mercy?

I see your point, I personally want Sarah or Burke to be the next Pope. God forbid someone like Zuppi sit upon the Holy See.

If Sarah gets the position I look forward to Black Pope memes.

(For those who do not know the head of the Jesuit order is often called the Black Pope because the Jesuits wear black and were for many, many, years the biggest and most influential missionary order. While the moniker originated as a conspiracy theory that the Jesuits controlled the whole Church, it has since become an inside joke among Catholics.)

Amen.

I pray they are forgiven, for they know not what they do.

there are several reasons, this is definitely at the top of the list. this post was specifically about him, which is why i gave my opinion. and you make several good points, for sure.
I shall pray for you, and I hope I did not come off unduly harsh. Sometimes we all need a strong push back in the right direction.

I don't often talk spiritual. Lets be real this current pope is probably more divisive than any in past 60+ years. I follow Martin Luther. I don't like popes. My wife is a pope fanboy. We got a healthy talk on our spirituality. I don't like the current pope. I'll be open. I still wish him nothing wrong. I think he thinks what he says is right. I might disagree of another cup of tea. Mrs really disagrees on a lot of his words. But he's not some awful person.

I'm sorry for his passing and I truly think he will make right with god and I hope his best to his next step.

As he goes just remember the most basic, you've asked honestly for forgiveness. It's ok. I'm sorry this body is gone, better times for you. Soon we can have fat free rubens and talk.

Look, I like the orange man as much as the next guy, but that's some Antichrist shit and you know it. You can't have the king of Babylon appoint God's emissary on Earth unless you want it to rain fire and blood the world over.
