I think you are being extremely optimistic. You are talking about a man who claimed that Cwcville exists in a parallel reality called Toon World. He also believes that the dean of his community college was the head of a massive conspiracy to stop Chris from finding true love because she believes "Virginia is for virgins". He tried to solve this by launching a Curse-Ye-Ha-Me-Ha attack on her but, in an act of generosity, later withdrew the curse and gave her a Forgiveness Blessing instead. He also believes he can cure homosexuality with a magic spell called the Hono (which is a bit redundant because he also believes you can cure homosexuality by imbibing his blood - yummy!).

If you can, with no hint of irony, claim that Chris is capable of distinguising between reality and fantasy, I would suggest that you haven't been paying much attention for the last nine years.

Still, if it made him happy... Can't help but to feel sorry for the guy sometimes, considering what's ahead of him.

I'm not disputing or agreeing with anything else but I've always thought that this aspect of Chris has always been overstated by some people. A throwaway phone conversation where he was trying to make Alec stop misusing his characters has been taken as 100% fact that Chris believes all his characters really exist in an alternate world, when he hasn't really said or done much else to suggest that he genuinely believes it.

I know that in the past Chris has referred to 'talking to Sonichu,' when struggling for dating advice or when he was in the office with Mary Lee Walsh but you can equate that to more of a coping mechanism than outright clear cut delusions, there is a difference.

I think that this is just like one of the many times where a funny moment in Chris's online history has been blown out of proportion and been attached to the rest of his life. I'm not saying that he never has delusions about some things, because heck these emails prove he does but some of them are over stated and just based off one single moment.

When he responds to stressful situations by having a conversation with a cartoon hedgehog-pokemon, I don't think you can say he's coping with much of anything. Ultimately, Sonichu, CWCville, etc, are real to Chris, sufficiently real that they take precedence over objective reality. Chris believes he has magic powers. He believes that Sonichu talks to and through him. He believes in the existence of a series of massive conspiracies to stop him finding true love and fathering a daughter named Crystal. Most importantly, though, in his real everyday life, he responds to these beliefs as though they were actually and materially real.

There may be a question of semantics at work, but if that's not delusion (as most understand the term), I don't know what is. Chris seems to have, by any objective measure, a very tenuous grasp on what is real and what is not. Case in point: he cut a hole in his taint to make a vagina. He actually thought that doing this was a good idea and that his gaping taint wound would act as a True and Honest Vagina and make him a real woman. As if that wasn't bizarre enough, he said that he'd spoken to a doctor who told him his vagina was beautiful and he was now a real woman. If that is not delusion, what is?
 
Whenever something like this drops, and gives you a glimpse of Chris's thought processes when his guard is down, I am continually amazed at just how utterly fucking stupid he is.

Seriously, autism aside, Borb sheltered him to the point that he has absolutely no understanding of extremely basic shit that your average 13 year old would know about.

He is SO fucked when Barb dies...

The best part is Chris could say that TODAY and it would still be true. The Chandlers have been to court so many times I'm surprised they're not on the Ruckersville Court Christmas card list.

Yeah, people complain about the trolls, but the worst thing he's ever been 'made' to do is shove bits of broken medallion up his boy hole. He's honestly very lucky someone hasn't attempted to properly catfish him and rinse him for as much money as possible. Given how naive he sounds in this post (going for dinner dates with your prostitute ffs), it feels like somebody could have convinced him to hand over credit card information and stuff with very little effort.

To be fair, we know how harmless Chris really is. But, if you're a prostitute, and after one encounter he's already taking you out for meals, asking you for advice on how to pick up the ladies, giving you gift baskets with his father's jazz mixtapes on them, and probably other creepy stuff he didn't realise was consequential enough to say in these emails (he probably spoke in that baby voice the entire time, for example), you might be worrying he'd soon be demanding that you put lotion on your skin or you get the hose.

Chris' stupidity/ intelligence has also been discussed in other threads. With the release of these documents it only confirms it even more. In comparison, Chris even manages to make someone half his age look like Albert Einstein.
 
It's very sad that these emails in which he is gushing about his sexual encounters with Mia are some of the happiest I've ever seen Chris being, ever. That he seems to think that now that he has had sex the trolls have been defeated only makes it sadder.

Chris does not seem to realize that a prostitute being nice to him does not mean she likes him, in any way, or that she even tolerates him.
 
Mia aims to make 152,000 a year to have weekends off every week.

For a whore with two kids, that seems like a little excessive to have to put up with 16640 customers a year. She could cut that in half and be solidly middle class in a cash based existence and only have to prostitute herself to 8320 guys at a quarter hour a pop shot.

This is exactly it. He was inventing excuses on the fly to win an argument. Chris forms opinions in the reverse of what is logical (and in the same manner as many lolcows): he decides you're wrong and he's right, then he looks for excuses to justify his assumption.

He may think about toon world once in a while, but in the same vein as cwcville: a daydream that gives him reprieve from whatever stress the real world is handing him this moment. He doesn't "believe" in anything strongly.

Chris and toon town is pretty much like chris and god.
Chris believes in it until he doesnt.
Like god his toon town exists and is a source of comfort and escape but if he stops thinking about it because hes busy e-begging or on his love quest he forgets about it. God is a higher power over chris and chris is the higher power in toon town....until the simonola incident.
In the end its two big parts of autism.
Rigid and literal thinking. Its why he takes MLP so seriously and why changing of voice actors is a big deal
Its "real" to him until it doesnt need to be, then it goes away until someone brings it up.
Like with sonic i doubt chris gave a shit about the blarms because he thought it was real but because his happy place sonic didnt have blarms and being autistic hes very resilient to change.
