I've seen Quadrophenia and while it's true that Stephanie's no Disney Princess, this entry on the Villains Wiki lays it on a bit thick in my opinion.

What's the author trying to imply? That some kisses fueled by an adrenaline rush mean that she owes it to Jimmy to become his girlfriend? That she should be ashamed for not immediately inviting him to stay at her place after drug abuse and a disrespectful attitude toward his parents leaves him homeless?

Not to mention Jimmy's sort of a whiny bitch. Not like Caulfiend in The Catcher in the Rye (which is somewhat thematically similar to Quadrophenia but not half as good, shit book). You know who else are whiny bitches? Nice Guys.

Also, the album Quadrophenia is the best rock opera ever made. It's musically phenomenal start to finish. If you haven't heard it, you're in for a treat, all of you. I hope in 200, 300 years it's viewed as a rock equivalent to a Beethoven symphony.

I always smirk when Jimmy goes swaggering into the pub, expecting the other Mods to be impressed that he just got fired for swearing at his boss and then using his severance pay to buy drugs. And instead they look at him as though he's lost his mind.

In my experience, you can even come across as a total asshole with a persona or whatever, but if you get a chance to get close and are simply honest about who you really are; IE, maybe not as crass as you let on or even just let her see the reasons behind your behavior, a lot of women will be drawn to that.

So I think "nice guy" is more of a cover for simply being an honest one. I'd put honesty far above niceness, is my main point.

Could be wrong, just going off my own experiences.

I like the posts where the Nice Guy is obviously crazy in love with a girl who's in a relationship with someone else, and they immediately interpret the slightest hint of discord as a sign a break-up is imminent and seize upon that as their chance to woo the subject of their desire. It's really funny when it turns out to either be a minor disagreement that is quickly resolved, or in the case posted a page back, not even a fight, just someone going silent for their own reasons and their hopes are dashed yet again.

We've seen a few posts about a Nice Guy who gets tired of waiting for a break up and tries to instigate one. Has that ever happened to anyone here? If so, how did you handle the situation?

Of course, anyone who's read the books will recognize Lord Baelish for the unreliable narrator he is. The truth is that not only did Catelyn's betrothed accept his challenge, their duel was so one-sided that he spent weeks recovering in the castle infirmary before he was well enough for her dad to kick him out.

And many seasons later, he would begin creeping on her eldest daughter...

They think it's a plus, remember, to their worldview, all women love bad boys, so, what's more desirable than one who is so bad, he can't go one sentence without confirming his alpha maleness and flaunting of every societal rule? They think it will make the women flip over them, and when it doesn't, clearly, the woman is one of those who needs to be scolded for wasting his time by "leading him on" because he did exactly what you bitches want! Treat you horribly and break all the rules! And he didn't even get one measly blowjob for it!

I feel like most of the time it isn’t even an actual fight between the boyfriend and girlfriend. Usually when a girl posts “I’m so upset” and the nice guys slide into her dms with “you bf make you cry? I won’t, I’m a nice guy” she has to explain “no I’m crying because my mom died/my bf I love very much was just in a car crash.” Still ends up with the typical “well fuck you too then ugly bitch”
