I have a friend who is 100% a nice guy. He's hung up on this girl who has made it clear that she is not interested, but wanted to stay friends. Every time they do something together he tries to make her fall in love with him, forgetting the countless times she has made it clear that she will never fuck him. Pretty textbook stuff.

I tried explaining that holding doors and saying please and thank you isn't a magical pass to getting pussy, and that she's been pretty clear in the past, but he just keeps trudging along. He even got a different girlfriend, but because he has high standards and she's not pretty he's planning on dumping her soon, and so he still has the original girl in his sights. Is there anything I can do to get some sense in this dummy's head?
