Nintendo Switch 2 (WIP) - For the Soytendo consoomers to speculate about the successor to the Switch, recently announced for 2025.

  • Happy Easter!
You have entirely changed the subject of what was being argued in order to farm stickers from people who weren't paying attention to the actual conversation. You weren't arguing that the prices are bad, which I'd agree with, even if you're being hyperbolic to the point of profound mental retardation, you're arguing that nintendo's GAMES are worse than EA and Ubisoft's, and the entirely untenable claim that gaming journalism somehow has a pro-nintendo bias, and furthermore that no one actually likes nintendo's games, but they pretend to because gaming journalism is just so pro-nintendo. Again, if you actually believe this, I reiterate my previous comment telling you not to breed, but I think you most likely have that covered already, so keep up the good work.
Farming stickers, really? There are way easier ways for it if it really was my goal.

And while I didn't directly compare Nintendo games to EA and Ubisoft (have no idea how you came to that conclusion when I referred to how the companies were treated, not their games). I'm sorry to say your bing bing wahoo is overhyped shit carried more than nostalgia, and I can give examples like Zelda Tears of the Kingdom passing like a wet fart, after the previous game was hyped as one of the best games of the decade.

And if you somehow don't think journos don't have pro Nintendo bias then you are just deluded and retarded. It's absolutely willful ignorance of how everyone else is treated and criticized, as well as Nintendo's host of anti consumer practices dating decades back.

Buying this thing at launch is a waste in my opinion. I'd rather save up for a new laptop at this point. Or a Steamdeck. Nintendo is really gonna have to sell this to me hard to get me to consider it.
Problem is not games are 80.

The real problem is for the first 7 months to 1 year almost every game that is a selling point for the Switch 2 is either also coming out on Switch 1 or is an enhanced version of a Switch 1 game. Which you can just get for 10 if you already own the game.

They are releasing a 450 console and telling you you do not have to buy games for it for the next year.

Oh and because it does not do backwards compatibility like their last 5 systems you’ve got no reason to get rid of your Switch 1 because you don’t know if your games will work.

How retarded do you have to be to do that to do something like that?

Holy fuck, where did the time go? I feel old as shit.

Can confirm. Going from 7 to 8 was easy as piss, probably because it's using the same engine. It wasn't like going from N64 to GameCube or even GBA where I had to relearn things.
If it makes you feel better (or worse) - Mario Kart 8 was released twice, Switch has a "Deluxe" edition from 2017 - so if you were one of the many people that didn't get a Wii U - it's only been ~7 years.

But $80 for a Mario Kart that has a bunch of the same problems that MK8 and 7 had and will have (cheating, bad multiplayer, snaking, weird stats and meta, boring tracks) is insane and that direct should have been them trying to pitch something very enticing instead of "It's Mario Kart, again, but now you can play as the fucking cow from Moo Moo Meadows".

Considering the selling point is supposed to be you can go anywhere and go off track they should have sold that. They should have sold the fact the track does not matter.

The same gaming media that seethes incessantly to this day about the nintendo direct bypassing them? The same gaming media that deliberately perpetuated misinformation surrounding the wiiu? The same gaming media that plastered wall to wall coverage the past couple weeks about the switch 2 being the next wiiu? The same gaming media that when sony announced a $110 remaster, upped the price of their already $700 console in most regions, and upped the price of the highest tier of ps+ to $240 a year in some countries, all in a span of 2 weeks, barely made a peep? A 7.0 earthquake doesn't become any less of an earthquake just because a 9.2 earthquake hits shortly after, but when the journos are calling the 7.0 "apocalyptic" while all but ignoring the 9.2, you're gonna say they're biased in favor of the 7.0?

Now, I know you seem to think you're some brave freedom fighter, stacked against impossible odds, and this might come as a bit of a shock to you, but that's just not the reality of the situation. In reality, you're a mentally retarded faggot screeching on the internet about a children's toy because the concept of people disagreeing with you sends you into a blind, retarded, impotent, and seething rage, the likes of which has not been seen since December 26 2014 within a gamestop in Charlottesville, Virginia. Maybe you think you're somehow helping by being your retarded faggot self, but I'm willing to bet money that there would have been at least a chance that when the switch 2 preorder returned from its delay that mario kart would have dropped back down to $70 if there was an actual unified front against that in specific, and not a mindless hurricane of retardation lashing out in all directions, unfocused, and more often than not repeating things that are factually untrue and can easily be verified as such.

TL;DR, your parents deserve to be slapped with all the fury of a pimp whose whores are late on their payments for the sin of combining their genetics in a retarded enough way that you were the end product.

It really, really helps that you can be a subscription to the magazine that all of the manga comes in is 2.99 a month digitaly. And that is if you want access to everyone. You can just get it for free and that will give you the last 7 weeks of everything they publish for free.

Marvel and DC can’t compete. They are round about 8. So to get both would be about 16 a month.

3 vs 16 is really not that hard.

And again, you can just read everything for free.

16 or free, I wonder what kids will pick?

It’s really not a surprise manga overtook,
Availability is another reason for this. The comic industry thought it'd be a great idea to focus on comic book stores and subscriptions. Viz had an English version of Shonen Jump you could get from the magazine section of almost any store that sold magazines. If you didn't have a comic store nearby, you had to search multiple stores to find a comic that wasn't Archie.

The American comic industry could have put out a million masterpieces a month and they'd still be in trouble because of this. Turns out turning your previously easy to find product into a niche one you need to search high and low for in most places is bad for business.

>$95 cheaply made joycons with excessive stick drift and dogshit ergonomics that are obviously going to break
>$1 more for the joycon straps because fuck you, that's why
>$85 fucking dollars for a bag with some zippers when the Switch 1 carrying case was like $20-$30

I hope they find another reason to raise the prices, this shit is hilarious

My favorite part is where he pointed out that the Piranha Plant camera only does 480p streaming, while the regular camera does 1080p. However everyone is going to buy the Piranha Plant camera because it is cheaper and looks cooler than the regular camera, so everyone is going to buy that garbage without realizing it teleports you to 2008 youtube.

I imagine a similar deal will happen with gaming. Suddenly all these expensive games will start to flounder in sales, meanwhile cheapie games are going to get more and more traction. I find myself wondering if it will lead to the same place it landed Marvel and DC, where rather than Nintendo being a game company, they exist to just license out their IPs for movie deals in a last bid to maintain relevance.
I've heard this one before...

if they start licensing their ip out, at least do the right thing and let mcpig/pizza tower guy a solid and let him make a wario land game nintendo.
that shit would print money
I wish nintendo would talked cues from snk and give smaller teams more obscure ips a la metal slug tactics to give them new spins

I see they’re taking the Playstation approach of “the only people who will buy these accessories are the fanboyest of fanboys who will pay any price, so we might as well ramp that shit up and blame ‘market conditions’”.

It's the Drumpf Bing Bing Wahoo Tax, and you will pay it. Enjoy your $5 hard-boiled eggs tomorrow.

Pretty much every retail store has announced when their pre-orders start, and Walmart is at least promising day of delivery before 9am, I doubt they can keep that promise though

I've always thought this was the true reason manga overtook comics: because they were affordable, not because they were necessarily better.
They definitely weren't affordable, at least when I was a kid. They were at least the same price if not higher. I didn't know what a manga was at the time and wondered why Dragon Ball Z was more expensive than Sonic. And really, it definitely is because manga is better than comics.

WTF is this? Does it have "Balenciaga" emblazoned on it?
Better, it has Nintendo emblazoned on it.

I wish all companies would do this. Making IP rights expire every 5 years without new content would light a fire under their asses.
