I don't see the Switch 2 selling well. At least not as well as Nintendo hopes. Will it sell? Yes, it will. Just not the way the suits at Nintendo want it to. This is something the Doomer black pill fags need to get over. You will never see anything sell 0 copies units or whatever. It's not going to happen. There will always be people out there who will buy something support mediocrity or corporate greed. I didn't have a 360 PS3 or Wii back when those systems were around. I was still playing PS2 and Xbox games on my old original hardware systems on an old CRT TV. I couldn't afford a PS3 or 360. I didn't have a PC capable of playing modern games either. I didn't get a Switch till 2018. I have a pretty sizable collection of physical Switch games as well as some digital games. I can go for a while without a Switch 2. I have plenty of games these days across all kinds of systems. PS Vita DS 3DS Switch PC PS3 and tons of ROMs and a Miyoo Mini Plus to play them on. My backlog on Steam is huge. I have games all the way back from the 2015-2016 that I haven't even played.
If there are more people like me out there that are used to sticking it out in hard times Nintendo is screwing with the wrong people. We don't need Nintendo they need us. This isn't going to go well for them. This is not the early mid or late 2000's. It's not even the early to mid 2010's when people still had some positivity and hope for the future of video games and gaming. Things are different now and people are more aware of what is going on and they don't like it. They are less willing to just go along with some companies BS. Will some still do it? Yeah but not everyone. Just watch how Nintendo reacts. That will tell you what will happen.
I don't think anyone uses the strips any longer. I can't remember the last time I swiped a card.
I had to use it last year because there was something wrong with the chip in the card. I think it got damaged.
Nintendo Switch 2 preorders to the USA are getting cancelled, orange man bad again
https://youtube.com/watch?v=zomHOlqQ7GY
I hope a lot of preorders are being cancelled. I don't go into physical stores much these days but I remember going into places like Best Buy and Walmart and seeing PS3's still sitting on shelves or in secure display cases just months after its release which is odd for a new console.
PS4 came out 11 years ago at 400 dollars.
This vietnamese tablet must cost Nintendo 50 a unit.
The Switch is supposedly a base model PS4. Consoles usually use hardware that is obsolete. Nintendo wants people to pay $450 for hardware that was obsolete the day the PS4 launched. The Switch should only be $300 or $350 at the most. It's hardware that is extreme obsolete.
They only said the screen would run at 120hz and not that any of the games would. I doubt any game on the Switch 2 will ever see 60 fps much less 120 fps. I also doubt many games will run natively in 4k. It will most likely be upscaled. In handheld mode it will be 1080p. But even then, I doubt any game will run at 60 fps. That would kill the battery. 30fps is more like it.
People are worrying and crying about an industry wide collapse if Nintendo goes through with their $80 pricing. Good. I want to see the entire industry burn to the ground. We're talking about an industry that's done nothing but shit on their audience for the last decade. I want Nintendo to try this bullshit. See where their arrogance gets them. Fuck Nintendo.
They are doing this and ignoring history. Sony was arrogant after the success of the PS2. They learned a hard lesson with the PS3. "People will work more hours to buy the PS3". No, they didn't. The PS3 sold worse than the PS2. MS went through the same thing with the Xbox One and their "continue to play games on the 360 then" comment from a decade ago. It seems these companies get arrogant and have to be humbled every so often.
I'd be more inclined to believe it if it's coming from them, plus they're the guys who originally glazed the fuck out of the leaked specs and now are walking it back. Logically, it makes sense, they can't really afford to tank the battery life and are dialing it down drastically.
That's no different from the Switch 1 when it was revealed. The Tegra X1 wasn't new, so speculations was based on its typical specs, and no one expected them to downclock it to 60-40% of its rated specs.
I highly doubt the Switch 2 will live up to any crazy claims. They can't run games at super high frame rates. It would kill the battery life. Frame rate and resolution are the two biggest hardware hogs in gaming. Everyone who games on PC knows this when your PC game goes from 60 fps to 200+ and your hardware gets louder and hotter. But the PC is connected to a wall outlet.
It's called the switch 2 because when you see the price, you switch 2 PC.
A lot of PC gamers own a Switch. I do. I guess they could just get a Steam deck or wait for a Switch 2 price drop.
