Donkey Kong Bananza is really the only reason to preorder a switch 2 rn. Mario Kart just looks okay. Fine as a side dish but not the main course you feel me? Problem is, it comes out a month after the switch 2 launches. And Kirby? Much later this year.
I'm glad that DK launches the month after. I'm a big mark for Mario Kart, but I'm more about single player games overall.

The thing with Mario Kart is after they saw success with adding DLC to a complete game years after the fact I know we will get DLC for World. And unless it’s all on the 64gb cart at launch and just waiting on a.game update to make it run I see no reason to buy it know. They’ll release a complete version in a few years.

- Nobody will buy the Switch, it's too expensive and has no games
- Of course the pre-orders will sell out, it's the fanboys and scalpers
- Of course it sold well in the first six months, but now the casuals won't buy it and it will flop
- Of course it is selling well so far, it is still only a year old and it's trendy
- Of course it is selling well so far, the PS6 isn't out yet
- Of course it is selling well, the PS6 is still building up its library!

This is my prediction of what is going to happen with the Switch 2 over the next few years.

We’ve got past these 2 phases so far.

This is where the U failed.

The bit that worries me honestly is the Game Key Carts. I bought so many games on Switch because loads of games I never played released on carts.

Not sure if that will be the case now.

on the bright side, it will for sure save me some sheckles, if it's not on the kart i don't really feel the need to buy it physically for archival purposes.
does suck that alot of games will be lost media if steam/nintendo/Sony/Microsoft take down their servers unless you sail the high seas, but considering the industry is mostly making remake slop it's not too much of a loss

If every game did DLC on the scale that Mario Kart 8 did DLC, I would have a lot fewer issues with DLC in general. A "2.0" mega update years later is fine with me.

Like expansion packs from the old days.

In my days, Expansion packs came in the form of "Lock-On Technology", and actually meant something.

In related switch 2 news Limited Run Games (grifters for the game preservation industry) have announced their first switch 2 game, Raidou remastered. much like the normal edition it will be on game key card:

How many years will it take them to mail you the keycard so you can download your digital game?

expansions like THE GOOD OLD DAYS AFTER ULTIMA 7
View attachment 7290225

The Ultima 7 expansions were good, but would have been great, if EA hadn't forced Origin to take a hatchet to them to fit EA's unrealistic development schedule. They are one of those things that you wonder "What if..."

Also, we should really consider calling the "Game-Key Card" the Cuck Card in this thread from now on, since that is basically what it's like, the "Game-Key Card" is basically like a key to the cuck shed.
