I am a dumb retarded idiot for buying a Switch 2, but God damn Bananza was great. That entire ending sequence is the most hype thing Nintendo has ever created.
How do nintendo collecters even view these things? They must know it's basically a download code in a plastic shell right? At this point how many third party games even use real carts. Cyberpunk is the only one that comes to mind at the moment.
I mean that should not be a surprise. All of the showing was lazy third party devs.
Badly. How do nintendo collecters even view these things?
At the very least it is a download that will never not be available. Due to not being tied to eshop. They must know it's basically a download code in a plastic shell right?
Nintendo doesn't have a good track record of letting downloads stay up once the current generation of consoles is up. There will be a day when those unused codes are useless and the servers no longer exist to download these games, the keycards will become coasters and the games will become lost media. You don't have to worry about that with a cartridge or a disk, every single piece of downloadable content is only one provider away from becoming abandoware and if nobody backed the game up, too bad!At the very least it is a download that will never not be available. Due to not being tied to eshop.
If you’ve got the licence for Wii games they still download. We are 20 years into that thing. GKC have the licence on. They’ll be fine. The problem with be any DLC tied to the eshop, as usual.Nintendo doesn't have a good track record of letting downloads stay up once the current generation of consoles is up.
No. They need to stop listening to what fans say they want. It’s how stuff like the Switch 2 and the U etc. They need another Wii U moment to humble them.
Basically, any platformer that has a title begining with "Super Mario" with the exceptions of Yoshi’s Island, Wario Land 1, and Super Mario Run (and the Maker games are arguably more sandbox than platformer so they don't really count either, and I also don't count things like remakes and compilations. I also consider Super Paper Mario to be part of the RPG series but the RPGs feel like honarary members of the main series to me, with the exception of the last 3 Paper Mario games. My headcanon is that the book world from Paper Jam only contained everything from Sticker Star onward and that the first 3 Paper Mario games took place in the regular Mario continuity).Seems pretty arbitrary as to what you consider mainline then. Is it only Mario Bros. 1-4 (World)? Or 1-4 plus 64, Sunshine, Galaxy 1&2, and Odyssey?
I don't think many collector types are buying them, the whole point of a physical copy is that you actually own a copy of the media inside itHow do nintendo collecters even view these things? They must know it's basically a download code in a plastic shell right? At this point how many third party games even use real carts. Cyberpunk is the only one that comes to mind at the moment.
I largely agree. I still think SMM2 can go either way, but the rest is spot-on.Basically, any platformer that has a title begining with "Super Mario" with the exceptions of Yoshi’s Island, Wario Land 1, and Super Mario Run (and the Maker games are arguably more sandbox than platformer so they don't really count either, and I also don't count things like remakes and compilations. They hate them, of course. I mean, did you even have to ask?How do nintendo collecters even view these things? They must know it's basically a download code in a plastic shell right? At this point how many third party games even use real carts. Cyberpunk is the only one that comes to mind at the moment.
My brother in Christ, we're talking about a company that's selling a 10 year old Nvidia SOC for a premium sticker price and has never once lowered the cost for it. The same company that also charged $70 for cardboard in 2018 ,selling an alarm clock for over $100, practices Disney Vault marketing with their Mario 3D All Stars bundle, use to price tax 3rd party devs with $20 per cartridge production in the NES/SNES/N64 days, promotes artificial scarcity to drive up demand, responded to monopoly accusations in 1990 with $5 rebates that came with Nintendo games...to buy more nintendo games. This list can go on and on with how greedy as fuck Nintendo acts. The fact that you're simping for Nintendo is beyond crazy.I wonder how many Trump voting Nintendo fans there are in the US.
They will never admit that their own vote directly caused the price of Switch consoles and accessories to increase.
The idea that another huge failure like the Wii U would make Nintendo into a better company is dumb. With how World and Bananza turned out, I don't think you can even depend on first party titles to sell the console anymore, they're both mediocre. Nintendo is losing it's touch, lack of competition is really going to their heads. They need another Wii U moment to humble them.
These jap fucks better not renege on their promise to release Metroid Prime 4 on Switch 1. They already announced it for S1 for years, you can't take it back! Prime 4 is going to probably be the last hoorah for a new game on my S1.Metroid Prime 4 is gonna be delayed.![]()
People keep forgetting that the Fire Emblem gacha exists.Nintendo would start putting more resources into their crappy gacha-filled mobile games and put less effort into their console games.
That would simply lead to a failure spiral, where they would continue to make more and more bad decisions, and therefore, keep losing money. Fine by me I say, their games have been crap and their entire MO has been to circle drain for years now. Not much is going to change. The idea that another huge failure like the Wii U would make Nintendo into a better company is dumb.
You know what would ACTUALLY happen if the Switch 2 failed? Nintendo would start putting more resources into their crappy gacha-filled mobile games and put less effort into their console games. Genshin Impact has made $15 billion in microtransactions; the mobile market can be extremely lucrative and has much lower development costs. The failure of the Wii U is the main reason why Nintendo started making mobile games in the first place.
Also, a failing Nintendo would focus even more on their biggest franchises like Mario/Zelda/Pokemon/Animal Crossing. You won’t get any more Metroid, Star Fox, F-Zero, Kid Icarus, Golden Sun, etc. if they are failing.
I assume the Switch 1 version is because the Devs were told they couldn’t but it fully on the Switch 2.I'm glad Octopath 0 is releasing for Swirch 1
