Megathread Non-binary genders / Enbies - When Male and Female Aren't Special Enough

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
There have been maybe one person I've seen who'd actually maybe be that way. (As in, want to be rid of sex characteristics, but not gain the opposite sex's characteristics.) But most of what I've seen is a lot of creepy gender determinism (?) coming from the Tumblrtards. "Oh, I'm female, but I like boyish things! I must not be a woman!" sort of thinking is rampant and it's frankly creepy. It's like they're completely unaware of how sexist they really are and how archaic such an idea is.

Other stuff also plays a factor in the current clusterfuck of identity politics- the demonization of those who hold that the definition should relate to dysphoria, the simultaneous pulls between wanting to fit in and wanting to be unique that teenagers generally have, people wanting to be special snowflakes, and the fact that this shit is the only thing being bandied about in a lot of places.

Point is, shit's FUBAR regarding anything relating to any LGBT issues, especially T issues, right now.

One thing I still don't understand are the many posts I see like "penises and boobs are gender neutral" and such, or that certain aspects of ones appearance don't necessarily denote gender. This still honestly makes no sense to me. I would like to accept those who wish to have mixed or no gendered parts, but I don't really understand why they wouldn't attempt to pass if they did not want people to assume they are male or female. Instead, tumblr insists that nothing is gendered like a bunch of screeching harpies so they can take pictures rubbing their tits and clit and still insist they are agender.

Not nudes like I've seen, but example: http://nonbinarynotandrogynous.tumblr.com

These people couldn't give less of a shit about their physical sex, they conflate gender with personality and believe they must be trans because they are/were the only TRUE and HONEST people in their entire high school. When they chant about genitals being genderless and that being trans isn't about dysphoria it's an attempt to soothe that nagging feeling that their one-dimensional tranny persona is based entirely on stereotypes and angst.

My fluency in their language shames me. (:_(

what in the actual fuck

I don't get this non-binary thing
well, you don't feel like a man or a woman.

what does that mean?
what does feeling like a man mean?
what does it mean to feel like a woman?
because any answer you give will make you rather sexist.

the only way i can think of it making a lick of sense is if someone didn't feel comfortable with genitals.. but that's just body image issues.

Whether you're cis or trans, your brain has a sex, male or female. It's wired that way from birth. So as I understand it, to have no gender is to have no brain. It all makes sense now.

I think that they choose their gender or sexuality or both because that makes them edgy or something like that. I don't feel bad for people who are transgender with real disphoria (I remember seeing a thread on the tumblr subforum about tucutes) but they say that they are agender demiasexual greygender nonpoly, put your random tumblr's vocabulary, because they are boring as fuck. Yes, they are special snowflakes but they don't have nothing more but their gender and sexuality, you ask them for their hobbies and their lifes and they don't know what to reply (arguing on internet and talking with another special snowflakes doesn't counts). We are not angry at them because of their oh so special gender but because they are throwing away years of lgbt's struggle because they implie that they are nothing more but their sexuality or gender and can't be normal people.
If you show this video to anybody what they would think of lgbt people?
I give a trophy for someone who watches this whole video, it's more cringy that every bronie, furfag, weaboo on earth.

It's a bit of a coincidence that most of these genderqueer identifying people seem to be teenage girls really into fandoms and/or cosplaying, almost as if it's just a trend..

Boring teenage girls identifying as "not a girl/nonbinary" despite obviously being female and making no effort to mask it is just this generation's version of boring teenage girls saying "I'm not like the other girls because i xx". Snowflakes such as themselves have to evolve and think up new ways to seem different than everyone else in the world in order to achieve and maintain maximum uniqueness.

I think for the fandom and cosplay crowd it's almost like a modern version of yaoi fangirls roleplaying as male anime characters and bashing the female characters because they aren't attracted to them. Teenage girls on tumblr want to be like their favorite cute male characters (a lot of these people end up running with this concept and becoming fictionkin) and they don't want to be associated with femaleness because ew, girls are gross. But trans men aren't trendy anymore and they're associated with evil things like "truscum" now, so those teenage girls have to be genderfluid or demiboys instead to become the real life versions of Maxie/Mettaton/whoever they're into now.

Pretty much. As much as tumblrinas insist they love women, the yaoitard misogyny is still very much alive.

Just because they try to disguise the shit in buzzwords and identity politics now doesnt mean it's not the same exact shit as back when. Some things never change.

Nobody takes nonbinary shit seriously anymore because of Tumblr. The concept has been around long before the blogging platform--it's just that autists feel the need to make it so it's fucking ridiculous.
It's not really something that SHOULD be taken seriously. No matter what way you look at it, there are two genders. Anyone who says otherwise is either trying to be special, or they've got some issues to work out in therapy.

Same goes for sexual orientation. There's "hetero," "homo," and "bi." That's it.

My point still stands. The whole nonbinary thing has been around longer than Tumblr. Tumblrinas just butchered it.

Even trends like punk, grunge, beatnicks and goth at least had art, fashion and writing to contribute. These trenders can't come up with anything other than throwing labels on fictional characters and the occasional bad fanart. (Greasers have car and motocycle work so they have a marketable skill.)

I've watched this before. I think I have watched it twice, actually.
I don't know why. It's just so cringe I couldn't NOT watch it again

Tumblrinas have this idea that "normal" men and women behave like if they've just come out of a 50s sitcom.

So if you're a girl but you're not into baking, wearing flowery skirts, etc...You're instantly a tranny/demi/non-binary whatever. Because nowadays tomboys don't exist, and things like baking or fashion are part of our biology somehow.
