I'll chime in here and i'm guessing they mean all the regressives in LGBT ruining the movement, which includes, but is not limited to:
  • Lesbians telling bisexuals they're not "gay enough" (though this could extent to gay men, i've not seen this)
  • Bisexuals calling everything biphobia (while hate that exclusively applies to bisexual people exists, and bisexual erasure is an issue, not everything out there is shitting on bisexuals.)
  • LGBT people talking shit about straight/'cis' people thinking that it will make the straights™ and the cis™ want to support them. Because, y'know, people won't resent those who insult them to get them to do what they want.
  • Asexuals. Enough said. There's a whole thread on the tumblr asexuals. The only reason i'm including this is because some people see them as LGBT and that's a big debate in and of itself. It's just saving time as there are people that include asexuals in the acronym (lgbtqia+ or some tism like that)
  • Pansexuals who are so backwards they think they're being inclusive, by saying that trans men/women (who are still a "binary" gender) are a third gender, instead of seeing them as hmm... men or women?
  • Of course, trenders.
  • Trans people (real trans people and trenders) saying that someone not dating them is transphobic. "female penis", cotton ceiling (aka "lesbians have to consider trans women as potential sexual partners or BIGOT")and stuff like that may ring a bell.
I don't think they're out to ruin the LGBT movement as a whole or doing it intentionally. However, they're unintentionally making other LGBT people look like crazy people who are hateful towards other members of the community for this and that reason.

Only reason i decided to chime in here and give some examples is because I do see where this guy is coming from, how the LGBT is kinda ruining themselves. Or rather, it's a very vocal minority ruining it for the community as a whole.

Never mind the political lesbians and Nice Gals™, they're everywhere, especially in the current "progressive" movement. LGBT stopped meaning "women who love other women, men who love other men, people who love regardless of sex, and sex dysphoric transsexuals" the moment queer theorists got a hold of the word "queer". :heart-empty:

The first two to me is just infighting between the L and the B, and without getting too far into it, I see the point both sides have but I doubt this rift is gonna get solved anytime soon. I will mention that gay men and bi men also have this issue but it manifests differently since bi men often tend to be 'on the downlow' and as you can imagine gay men don't really like this.

The third strikes me as standard issue SJW 'everyone who isn't me is my enemy' crap which isn't helping anyone's movements, never mind the lgbt. As far as I'm concerned, asexuals are part of the 'straight people who think they're queer' group that I think is taking over to a degree (see the comment by @sarcasticslipandslide below which I wholly agree with). And say no more about trenders (again straight people who think they're queer) and the real trans people who can't seem to allow others to have sexualities.

I agree with all of this, I guess. I just don't see how 'pincer movement' is a good analogy here since there are more than two groups and also nothing inside the pincer really. Every group here is both pinching and being pinched (except the straight queers and trenders, if they don't like being pinched they could always just stop pretending they're 'queer' at any time and maybe they should).

This is the most accurate statement on this thread and imo is what's really caused the lgbt to fracture so badly.

Terf bangs look a whole lot like "did you assume my gender you oppressive shitlord" bangs to me, except not in blue or pink.

Also for anyone who needs a little giggle, there's an android app/game i discovered called "gender alchemist" where you combine different genders to make new ones. It's a pretty good waste of time if you're bored to death. It's a satire on all the gender identities out there I believe; considering the description of third gender is "A person who thinks that two is not enough"

Warning: It may make you want to jump ship, purely because of how many there are and the descriptions of some of them sounding like some fantasy story.

I had my first nb patient a couple weeks ago. A late teen came in with a dislocated elbow (OWWWW poor kid!) Their chart said F but when I met them and said "Miss" they said "I prefer they or them, please call me Pat*" They were super polite about it. They didn't have danger hair but had their hair cut short and wore a baggy hoodie and you really couldn't tell what their gender was by looking. I noted their pronoun preference next to the gender and their nickname next to their full name because they were so polite about telling me.

There was no "Did you assume my gender?" REEEEEEEEing, just a matter of fact exchange and that was that. But the nice ones like "Pat" always get lumped in with the little genderspecial bitches who think they're being physically assaulted by calling them by the wrong pronoun.

Tell me your pronouns politely and I'll respect them. Bitch at me for not knowing them magically means I call you what's on your chart and you can cry about it to your mommy later.


*Not their real nickname for privacy's sake but it was the most gender neutral substitute I could think of since Pat can be for Patrick or Patricia.

do any of these people own glasses that don't take up a quarter of their face?

The following person is a 'trans mlm', but their photo helps illustrate my point of why the giant glasses are bad:

like, they're a lot closer to passing based on that photo than most tumblr transes: normal guy haircut, normal eyebrows, no makeup, boring masculine clothes. but the glasses! they ruin it! i get that enbies maybe don't care that much about passing, but it still seems contradictory

There are no other glasses right now. Seriously, face-eating glasses have been declared a “thing” right now, so good luck finding anything else. Maaaybe if you’re lucky you can find narrow rectangular glasses.
