I gotta say, personally I wouldn't mind the "nonbinary" thing whatsoever. I can see how people don't want to identify as the stereotypes set up for male and female.

That said however, in reality, People tend to see gender as nothing more than a way to tell what stereotypes are attached to people and if any certain stereotype happens to not apply, they usually drop it. It's a way to easily start up conversations or know what you are up against, simple as that.

Tumblr takes this to way new levels and instead of figuring out that not every stereotype HAS to apply to you if you define yourself with a certain gender, they make up a gender that fits to who they think they are instead. Since being "unique" is the new trend of the age and day, they of course have to be the most specialist of genders. Hence why there will also be a quadrillion of these things to "go against the binary system" (Most of them connecting to personallity traits instead of gender traits as well)

But look at the ages these people have. I am almost certain that most of them will grow out of this BS eventually, and those that don't just hopefully don't reproduce or at least have children who don't try to mess up the language by inventing 1000+ pronouns themselves.

The Tumblr trash furry website Furvilla, a browser game aimed at children, has these fucking ridiculous gender options when you create a character. Their fatal mistake during development? They advertised the website on Tumblr. Then the devs had to capitulate and add a bunch of exceptional gender snowflake options when Tumblrinas cried about how choosing from less than 10 gender options was cishet oppression abuse and literally the same as murder.

I'm sure all of the 12 year olds on this website are all going to understand what this genderspecial dumpster fire is.

The problem is that tumblr tends to misconstrue personality and individual expression as "gender." That's why they make up dumbass genders like "flora gender: a gender that feels floral and pretty."

Did anyone ever ask this person to define what, exactly, constitutes a binary woman/man? That seems to be the one thing tumblr never actually talks about.

Then, pray tell, what makes a binary man or woman? If it's not adhering to gender roles, then what makes people NB men and women? It's clearly not defying gender roles or gender dysphoria. Dare I say that they're choosing to be non-binary?

There's also this gem, where they're mere centimeters away from admitting that NB people are actually just cis people pretending to be trans (seriously, who says "non-binary ppl who align with their agab" when they could just say "cis"?).

If your alignment matches your assigned sex, then what would you be transitioning into? Nothing! Because if your sex is aligned with your gender (using their terms) you wouldn't want to transition. Unless they're suggesting some "nobinary" people choose to transition into the opposite sex "despite alignment corresponding with agab" for shits and giggles.

This illustration becomes more insane the harder you stare at it. In the center of each circle there are black dots representing binary manhood and binary womanhood on opposite sides of a line. Okay, fine.

However, there are yellow and purple dots behind those black dots implying it's possible for a non binary person to be more strongly experiencing manhood or womanhood than the people experiencing the binary male/female genders because they can get further from the opposite gender on the scale. This picture suggests non binary people have unlocked hardcore manhood and womanhood.

Also don't bother trying to figure out what vertical movement means on this mess.

In other news, here we have the least thrilling conclusion to my quest to figure out what constitutes a binary man and woman vs. a non-binary man and woman to these people.

So, "nb girl" is just the new way of saying "demigirl", and a "demigirl" is someone who "partially identities as a girl/woman"... I finally understand. It's the mysterious ~gender feelings~ that they can never explain. If you don't ~feel~ like a man or a woman 100% of time, you're a "non-binary man" or "non-binary woman". Only binary men and women feel like men and women 100%, and that means they're yucky and cis.

Edit: "bigender with woman and agender... feeling a disconnect/weak connection to being a woman/girl... being aligned with womanhood, but not enough to consider oneself cis".

Invariably, if it begins with "demi-" (demisexual, demiromantic, demiplatonic, demigirl, demiboy, etc.), it will encompass the feelings of the majority of the population. This is why they've shifted gears and started calling themselves different names that mean the exact same things so that they seem more "valid" and less, as they say, cispiscious.
