Honestly, if they had made the outer shell black it might have looked better. The overall design screams early 00's and is going date horribly in a few years.

Edit: Seriously, go all black with those blue lights. That would have looked nice.

I wanted that fucking clear blue PS4 but they made like only 5,000 of them world wide.

Hell, that's a whole 'nother beast. Sometimes the color of console you want doesn't come along until near the end of its life, if you're even lucky enough to get that color at all. Like imagine anyone whose favorite sports team's color is orange, good luck getting any orange gaming stuff. Shit, how much even is there? The "Spice" Gamecube that was exclusive to Japan, the orange/white New 2DS, and... I think that's it? Like, shieet, they made the PSP in a lot of different colors, but I don't think they did orange.

I'd guess red and blue tend to be the most common variant colors (aside from black/white when the console's mainly one or the other), and even then, I don't think there was a red PS4. Was there?

Yeah but those set ups will run you close to the price of an actual game console and that's just for aesthetics. The Lightbar on the PS4 controller is the closest we have.

LEDs cost like nothing to manufacture and are very very simple electronically, but PC part prices for RGB stuff is marked up to fuck because novelty and because every kid wants a LinusTechTips candy raver machine

I think that leak was proven to be bullshit. It looks like it's in the 400-450 range.

400 would be reasonable. I'm just hoping most of the ps4 games are compatible because I've been buying a ton of shit lately.

I don't expect the first generation ps5 games to be any good, so I'm gonna play the backlog...

400 would be reasonable. I'm just hoping most of the ps4 games are compatible because I've been buying a ton of shit lately.

I don't expect the first generation ps5 to be any good, so I'm gonna play the backlog...

They're not formally revealing the price because they want to undercut microsoft, both companies are able to sell consoles at a loss. There's wiggle room for how low they can go.

Even beyond the goofy design, there's just not enough right now for me to justify sinking upwards of $400-600 on this. The only games that really appeal to me are Ratchet and Clank and Resident Evil 8, and I'm certain the latter's going to be available on PC considering the past several games saw PC releases. I'm not buying a whole new system for R&C either so until there are more games that I care about I'm gonna sit out on the PS5 until later on.

A Twinsanity remaster would be awesome given how much of the game was cut for time. The game's got an "Unseen Gallery" which is basically the stuff that was removed from the game, and there are voice clips recorded for a bunch of these which indicate that they were cut late into development. Hell Cortex flat out says at one point they were supposed to visit two dimensions but they "ran out of time." How cool would it be to see it have the Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated treatment where the stuff that was cut for time is reinserted into the game? Twinsanity's probably the best post-ND Crash Bandicoot game but it's also hampered by its rushed development, so if you ask me I think a remaster would help rectify that problem.

I'm a little biased because Twinsanity's the first Crash Bandicoot I ever played, but even so there is definitely potential for a "complete" remaster.

Twinsanity is indeed the best post-ND Crash and perhaps it is worthy of a remaster, but certainly not Wrath of Cortex.

They said 6 million at launch awhile back but the Japanese government apparently gave them a deal to move hardware manufacturing back to japan.

If it's not November it's going to be closer to march.
