They took him out of the original before it even came out.

Edit: You'll never successfully compete with the DKC 1 and 2 designs, regardless of your own quality. But man, the krew looked like total shit in DK64.

The Vikings were fine, though I do subscribe to the idea that they should have had Lord Frederick be revealed to be K Rool. Tikis were trash, not sure why they choose that one?

I have a feeling that Retro wanted to make DK a trilogy and end with K Rool, but the company went into turmoil and is now tasked with Prime 4.

They'd better be, but knowing how much worse the D.I.E. quotas are in Americanda - I fear for it as well. Prime 3 was just a little too based back in the day (before Obongo's masters killed Smith-Mundt), making their Federation NPCs White and doing evil things like naming their starships after Mount Olympus, Valhalla, and Theseus... No doubt Nintendo's west coast mongoloid brigade will be remedying that situation for the next title. Although, even the jap Sakamoto (who defecated Other M onto the franchise) plopped out a stereotypical hollywood-style nigger for the Feds.

Street Fighter 6 has a Fatal Fury crossover (next 3 DLC characters) and M.Bison was revealed.
And more roguelite SLOP.
 
This is rough so far.

Civ 7 and Metaphor have been the only vaguely interesting things. Everything else could just be a Chinese mobile phone game. Utter fucking garbage.
