Leftists and right-wingers both see themselves as the "good people", which is why I don't harbor any ill-feelings or resentment for either. Both believe that what they're fighting for is in the best interests of the country, whether you may agree with them or not. This is why I find it kind of stupid when one side calls the other "un-American" for having their opinion. I think it'd be more un-American if they just did not care about any of this at all, since at least by being a part of either side, they'd show they do care for the country, rather than just having a "whatever" approach.
