In of itself, those two things are good ambitions, you help improve those sectors, society on a whole expands, grows and becomes better. But it takes more than simple platitudes of how 'equal' we are now, to actually do that, it takes economical push power from the top to enable it. The left ain't got any that, thus why they're stuck slithering up their own ass, looking for the most unequal, most disadvantaged wanker they can find, because if they can help them an inch, that almost justifies the shit they've done without actually fixing anything.

At the same time, the right have their own good points. Their own categorical imperatives that they're moving to and striving to attain. Only problem is, they want to do it, for the least amount of work, now I don't mean work as in hour/time spent, I mean work as in dollar spent. The whole idea of selling government contracts to the lowest bidder for example, want shoddy, shitty work? Go with that system, even if it's a protection against corruption, it's one of the examples of how the right are failing in duty to the moral of the issue.

There's simply no 'good' people, there's people failing upwards if that makes sense, but they need to get over the whole human conditon thing before they can actually achieve a sense moral rightness.

The science is longstanding on this issue, masks do nothing when it comes to inhibiting the spread of viruses in a pandemic setting. Masks are only useful in narrow situations like Surgery because the environment is controlled and the Surgeons and Nurses do a lengthy cleaning process before the operation. There was a reason the Surgeon General and Fauci kept saying masks were more likely to spread the virus back in Feb-April because it caused people to consistently reuse or fiddle with the mask. Blind devotion to the masks wont be deterred by anything, even though we have worn masks for months now the spikes are occurring in massive waves (assuming the PCR testing is done properly which is its own can of worms) across Europe and the Northeast of the US. All human efforts have been useless because there IS NO WAY TO STOP TRANSMISSION. It assumes 100% efficiency from humanity, even the Medical field which are curated environments, screw up and leave gloves and other stuff inside humans during operations, and cross contaminate with regularity. If you really wanted to follow the science on the 'Rona you would read Hope-Simpson's book about seasonality of Influenza ('Rona tracks alongside Flu) and notice that Europe and the Northeast US are EXACTLY where Hope-Simpson said we would be in his book. The US gets a double hump on any virus graph because Florida, Texas and other states are lower to the equator, latitude matters when dealing with this virus. We're going to be dealingg with an increase of Covid-19 until the end of January and there is nothing any politician can do about it. If they were intelligent they would have done absolutely no restrictions at all during the summer and encouraged everyone to spread it during the warm season when people have the highest amounts of Vitamin D in their system and they're the most active. Now we're doing the COVID shit during a time period where the average human has a weaker immune system because of the cold weather. Its as if they were asking for a disaster.

Republicans have threatened the US's reserve currency which lets us live on easier street with dumb debt ceiling fights that they cause. They only talk about scaling back spending when they don't control all the bodies of government. I'm the same except I just think the masks are dumb dumb and don't stop the spread. I don't back it up with data though because I'm a red blooded American.
All I needed to know masks don't do what they currently claim is having been born before 2020 and experiencing the "Stop buying up all the fucking masks" time early on and getting PSA'd on how they're not helpful because people don't use them properly and the people who would use them properly are medical professionals who need them.

Fauci has stated he did that very thing. But the science still remains, masks and lock downs do nothing. No human lives on an island unto themselves and they will have to interact with others to get food or other essential goods. The one and only truth to COVID-19 is that humans will only manage to wrestle it under control by hurling bodies at it just like we've done with every other seasonal disease. I'm not entirely convinced that COVID was particularly lethal either, and it may be a matter of contextualizing society it operated in. The death toll could reasonably be explained by years of influenza vaccinations, normally we would have lost a fair amount of geezers per year to Influenza each winter. Instead we had a huge amount of very weak individuals hanging around that got visited by the grim reaper all at once instead of over the past several years. If we look at an excess death graph dating back to 2000 we can see a slow but steady decline leading up to 2020, the average age of death to covid being 84 years old is why I believe this.
I fear the ramifications of COVID on the economy and society more than I fear the actual virus. Some politicians have become drunk on power and I've long felt that the Floyd riots had more to do with venting frustration and anxiety over the lock downs than it did with some drug addict getting knee'd in the neck.
