A higher percentage of people in rural areas and small towns use Federal assistance than in cities but more people live in cities.
It's important to note how broad "Federal assistance" and "welfare" technically is. I'm on poorfag freebie health insurance so technically I'm on welfare, but when people talk about this kind of thing they really mean bix nood gibs which is a specific kind of lazy ass's subsidization. That and free money for pumping out kids (who you decided not to abort on a whim).

That said it's always annoyed me that people forget that for the overwhelming swaths of illegals (the worst) and Blacks there's dozens of Oceana across the country that do the exact same thing (just less abortion and mass murder, and they're citizens...sadly).
Kind of bugs me, like the idea rampant inbreeding is only a "White" trailer park thing and not endemic of any neighborhood of any kind that's full of lazy worthless women who sleep around and pump out bastard kids from random men, kids who grow up to hook up with each other without ever realizing they share the same dad. I mean how else do you explain "bix nood" even existing? The only difference between Jimbob and Daeantae (Pronounced "Dante") is phenotype.
That's always been my presumption of the massive decline in IQ of certain people groups in certain countries--unfettered sex & careless births.

Anyway, my point is that Federal assistance is a broad term and we all know who the biggest drains on the system are.

I didn't know Ralph had a farms account.

No they didn't. Are you joking? States were still counting votes while mass media was calling Biden president-elect and saying he won. Not "seems to be" or "may become" or "is likely to be" but "is".

The Associated Press doesn't "call" elections and has no authority to, let alone by reporting them. You report on elections, you don't call them. You're trying to confuse basic English to not look stupid.

Yeah because the polls are never skewed in either direction until the end, just like they weren't in 2016. [Edit: This previous sentence was sarcasm. I am making that clear in case you are sincerely autistic with a memory deficiency.] "Projections" mean nothing until the end and, in case you've forgotten, it didn't end at all on election night. Or the night after that. Or after that. Votes were still being counted.

All mass media was saying Biden was president-elect and won, literally sighing in relief over his victory on national television.

Seriously, what is wrong with you?
Are you aware that this is normal? News organizations typically call presidential elections before every vote has been counted and before the winning candidate’s victory has been formally certified by the government. The AP called the 2016 election for Trump on election night.

A higher percentage of people in rural areas and small towns use Federal assistance than in cities but more people live in cities. I think it's safe to say no one has much room to talk just the fact people do anyways has left a lot of animosity. I don't really take sides in a fight when both are scuffed.

So that isn't an argument I'm particularly interested in. I think it's convenient the people in charge want the urban poor to fight a culture war with the rural poor while they funnel money that could help both into tax dodging multinational corporations, bullshit wars, pet projects, etc. but this isn't really the thread for that.

To bring it back though the real tragedy in all this is neither one of the old coots we got to vote for has a solution. Trump waved his magic wand and the coal industry and factory jobs failed to come back and all the trade war has done so far is turn farmers into welfare cases and cut manufacturing margins. Biden isn't going to do much better and due to covid taking center stage he didn't even really have to pretend he was going to try.

The trade imbalance with China was starting to go down for the first time ever before COVID hit, and average american's wages went up by tenfold under Trump compared to the previous 4 presidential terms combined. Even Bloomberg News admitted that.

Now Joe is going to flood the labor market with migrants and suck china's dick, reversing the only real gains the working class have made in decades.

So it sucks that he won.

Are you aware that this is normal?
None of this has been normal and unless you're barely 18 you should know that. Nothing like this media blitz has ever happened on this scale before, not even in 2016, and no one "called" the election, much less stamping the AP "calling" it below every video as if the AP is a source of authority for government elections. Regardless of what they referred to their report of it back then they were not unanimously foisting the same perspective onto the country before the votes were finished counting.
That came after the votes were counted, where they would proceed to assert Trump stole the election.
For nearly four years.

Also note you didn't respond to everything else I mentioned. Where was Trump's "office of the president-elect"? Where was everything else I said?
The dissonance here is genuinely unnerving. It's like you want me to forget everything from the last two to three weeks from the media and social media, Google, etc. and pretend everything is normal. I'd say you're "gaslighting" but I'm not retarded so I'm just gonna assume you also have some very poor memory retention.

Voting tests were a thing in the 1960's. These were mostly given to black voters. Here's an example of one from Louisiana.

Have fun passing this.

You'd fail at the first question and the last two. It's blatantly impossible for a few of them.

It’s a basic intelligence test that anybody should be able to pass. You both just outed yourselves as retarded.

Reminder that black voters did pass these tests. The response was to rage and make up completely retarded “tests“ instead (”How many bubbles in a bar of soap?” even if you said zero, you failed). Even back then, Democrats had to cheat in the most childish of ways to rig elections.

What do you mean "no one called the election" in 2016.

Hey bud, you know the problem with making blanket statements such as "no one called the election"?
It's that all I need to do is find literally one case of it happening to debunk your claim.

And oh look, I found a post dated November 8th, 2016, that shows that AP not only called the election before all mail-in votes could realistically be counted, and before the electoral college would meet on December 18th to cast their votes, solidifying that Trump won the presidency; but they tweeted about it too.

But before you go thinking I'm discounting your entire credibility, I will extend an olive branch and say; yes there has been a much larger media blast this election than last election. However, all it takes is seeing how our previous presidents reacted and engaged with the media compared to our current, and soon-to-be former president has. It's almost like if the most powerful person in the US starts screaming at the top of his lungs on the news, on twitter, and at various rallies about how everyone is the enemy, he may draw the ire and attention of everyone around him; including the media.

LMAO News channel call the election way before the count to finish every fucking cycle... is it your first time paying attention to it? They use county data to project the winner after it seems there is no path to victory in any giving state? There are even old gems like this one when people tried to led the public on some hopeless case:

People aren't upset at proving Biden won. They're upset that the sitting President of the United States is screeching that fraud is the only way he won without having so much as a single shred of proof. He's undermining people's faith in the system just because he lost.

Proof of something like this does take time to gather. There is a tight schedule and this isn’t the movies where there is a MacGuffin that magically wins or loses the fight when someone touches it. Let things take their time and we can mine the salt at the end of it all.

AOC is pushing environmentalist policies, and yet, she didn't even know what a garbage disposal was.

I forgot this existed, I wish you didn’t remind me. The only hope AOC gives me is that if she can make it that far in politics, so can any of us.
You want me to believe that no one ever had a shred of doubt that Cucker Tarlson might be a controlled opposition?

Edit:
His behavior around Hunter's Biden laptop was already suspicious as heck.

I am gonna chalk it up with someone telling Tucker that next time they’ll actually break the door to his home while he is away. I can see him flipping not because his paycheck was threatened, but because you can’t outrun the media when you work for them. I am only giving him this freebie because his family does have a legit target on their backs now and a mob already tried once.

Exactly. Those who are trying to argue that news stations or other people do not "call" elections would do well to research psephology.

This isn't the channel/news wire just picking a colour out of a hat to stick up on the map. They have statisticians and psephologists working behind the scenes, analysing the data and making predictions based on the evidence available to them at the time.

It's not left-wing CNN or right-wing Fox making a random call to spite whichever side of politics you may be on.

Here is the media calling the 1980 election the same day as election day, with Jimmy Carter conceding on election day. NBC even called it before the West Coast had finished voting.

I am anticipating that someone will inevitably bitch that the 1980 election was a landslide and easy to call early, so here is ABC calling the 1976 election at 3:30AM in the morning after election day for Carter, which is much closer than this election:

Here is Gerald Ford conceding the same morning at 10AM:

Why people continue to bullshit about such an easily proven fact, I do not know.

There was some controversy on calling Arizona as early as AP did - even Nate Silver didn´t support it - but nothing really out of the ordinary. Of course the media was heavily against Trump and rejoice the fact he lost (and worked for it) but that doesn´t mean necessarily there was something fishy about it.

If anything US news organisations are too timid about calling elections. Here's how France calls their Presidential elections at the moment the polls close - in fact they were a little off, they projected Macron with a 65.1% share of the vote when he ended up getting 66.1%.

Conspiracy Theorist Sidney Powell was fired from the Trump Legal Team due to several of her conspiracy theories being proven false. Now the Trumptards are claiming she was never on the team, even though she's been representing the campaign on tv and at events. The President also confirmed that she was on the team, previously, via Twitter.

Crazy Sidney claimed that Dominion was designed and developed in Venezuela and that's been proven FALSE by even hardcore right sources. There are many sources but one prominent source is the OSET Institute, a nonpartisan election technology research and development nonprofit.

You can file a formal complaint against Sidney Powell with the Texas Bar Association, here:

What? They were calling it for Biden before anything was finalized, slapping "The AP called the race for Biden" below every video and even entertained the fictional "office of the president-elect" in mass media and social media.

Do you think everyone around you has brain damage that we wouldn't remember what was being said/done less than two weeks ago?
The AP called it when there was no mathematical way Trump could make up the difference. They did the same thing for Trump in 2016, and Trump's margin in PA, WI, and MI were slimmer than Biden's.

Trump's win wasn't "official" when news outlets called it in 2016 but there was enough votes counted to know Hillary couldn't make up the gap with a recount. Arizona was probably called earlier than it should have been this year but the decision desks at Fox and AP turned out to be right with their projection.

When did Americans stop speaking with that "sophisticated" intonation and start speaking with the modern-day "casual" tone? Sorry if I'm not too clear but I notice it all the time with old-school newscasters and the current-day ones, it's like pre-1980s American TV hosts speak with a deeper, more focused voice and as you go all the way through to the early 2000s, you can see their style of presentation gradually become more carefree and softer-voiced. It's weird.
