So I was thinking more about the church I was in and abortion. I don’t understand moid insistence that abortion is bad. There was a couple in that church who had a baby with trisomy 18, a genetic disorder which can be caught with screening. But instead of aborting it, the woman had to give birth to it. Trisomy 18’s often don’t make it past a year. End of life care is literally withholding feeds through a tube, because they can’t eat on their own. Abortion is clearly more humane for everyone involved in this. So, they had this first baby with trisomy 18, did end of life care with it, and then had another trisomy 18 kid. I left the church before I found out what happened with that one, but I just cannot imagine how the woman is feeling. Like, you just starved one kid to death because you didn’t want to flush it when you were some weeks pregnant, and now you’re going to do it again. But only one is murder? How is this better?

Side note, but trisomy 18 babies can live past a year if they have heart surgery, they don’t naturally live past a year. You have to find some sawbones willing to do the surgery, which most aren’t. Even then their outcomes and survival aren’t great. They will never be a normal child.

The only arguments I’ve heard is that God wanted it. And it’s a slippery slope. And it’s God’s will. Ok, well, sometimes God wills that a chick I’m hatching out is incompatible with life, and I euthanize it humanely and send it on its way. So what lessons are we supposed to learn from this situation? I learn that life is precious and having a good outcome is worth celebrating. I don’t force a chick with its intestines out or brain exposed to continue living as God’s blessing and God’s will. “Humans aren’t animals” yeah sure, but God oversees both. Men can’t really complain about abortion being baby murder when they’re the ones doing 90% of murders and killing babies, children, and pregnant women all the time. How can they be against it? It’s their favorite pass time next to jerking off.

Edit: Oh yeah and the reason I left the church was because the pastor was revealed to be a sex buyer (rapist). And the rest of the congregation forgave him, including his wife and children, and he just quietly stepped down from leadership and another pastor took over. But nah, no.

Is it a coping mechanism?

I don't think so either. I just don't think which one or his race matters here outside of current day American race politics. Shiloh certainly could have handled herself better, but in less crazy times we chalk her reaction up to having a bad day, maybe have a word with her that doesn't involve baiting and a camera, reprimand the kid for stealing, and move on.

Black people call each other nigger all day long. I doubt it was the first time the kid heard the word - the rest of the time was just from his own people. I am a little audibly challenged, but I honestly don't think there is a huge difference between "nigga" and "nigger", other than tone of use. Reclaiming slurs is sometimes fair, but imo it only works in the privacy of your own spaces, around people who are the same as you, and never around children. Honestly I don't really even like to use the word "fag" unless I am being completely unfiltered on KF. I listen to a lot of music by gay female artists, and none of them would ever use the word in their music. Could you imagine a bunch of "fags" and "dykes" thrown around in queer music? It would be insane. Like yes, the word was traumatizing for a lot of us, and there is power in saying the words for ourselves, but using it all day long for no reason at all makes you look like a clown.

To preface, I am an ex-christian, but I do sometimes still consider the world through the lense of a Creator. I am not religious, but I will use "God" to make the language flow smoothly. Personally I do not believe in the Christian God. I believe it's all the fucking same, and every organized religion is a scam used to control the masses. Plus those fucks traumatized me as a gay person.

My take is that: nature is cruel. We cannot make sense of it. We are just animals with sentience to form thoughts and words and communicate with one another, who evolved to survive because of this skill (that evolution could have been guided by the hand of a Creator, sure). All animals can be inherently violent, it is just that no one talks about it. Even "innocent" animals people love like raccoons will break into chicken pens and kill them. Also think of orcas playing with their food. Violence, cruelty, and unfairness are a part of the world, and animals will perpetrate these traits. Sometimes for food, but sometimes for no fucking reason like the orcas.

Once I understood this, men's behavior, as the more violent sex of our species, started to make a lot more sense to me. Men are inherently violent because nature is. Did God want men to kill other men and women? Is it God's will or plan when a man stabs his wife 12 times? I don't think so. My personal belief is that sometimes we just must suffer. This is more from eastern religions, but maybe we were an asshole in a past life, or maybe this is our karma in this life. Or, for more of a Christian route, maybe we are beings of free-will and this was a test for our souls. Whatever religious avenue you want to take, animals (including us) will still exhibit these behaviors. Cruelty exists in nature, even with things outside anyone's control, like deformed babies and accidents.

So did God want these babies to be born and die? No, I don't think it was God's will. however, we as sentient beings with free will have the ability to make smart decisions that help other living things suffer or not, and unfortunately retard parents like in your post chose to let people suffer. Aborting and terminating fetuses and babies that will not have a good life the same way we cull animals should not be considered so taboo. That is why learning about Sweden not having any down syndrome people was really nice to hear. Men and women all have the choice to make decisions that further suffering or decisions to alleviate it. And for some reason a lot of men still chose the former. Maybe it is just their nature to be cruel. I haven't figured it out yet.

My suspicion is that since they are the male of the species, they must be larger and more violent to procreate by raping, so that impulse sometimes gets routed through other avenues in modern times, resulting in the violence we see today. I honestly do not know what to do in these situations. I live in an area where there are a lot of Hispanic people, so most people just assume I am a light-skinned Hispanic due to having dark hair, but I always wonder what I should do in the event of a freak out by any retard with a cell phone camera in my face. I have noticed a lot of internal “why is it/why are we like this” stuff coming out from black youtube lately and surprise surprise it tends to get blamed on the single mothers alone. If it’s coming from the men it’s about boys never learning to be a man from their fathers, if it’s coming from the women it’s about women not choosing good men. Never is it about the men, but that’s a foregone conclusion.
