I noticed troon fatigue started setting in pretty hard right before COVID hit and oddly that might've saved them for a while since people had other stuff to focus on.

I also think the TQ+ momentum is starting to lose steam, at least in the English speaking world. I've heard from friends in the US and the UK that they've seen a lot less corporate Pride stuff compared to previous years (though it might not yet be the case in very liberal states like California), which could be a sign that companies can sense that something is up. Plus in the UK in particular troons are receiving more and more pushback in a way that they simply weren't back in 2018 and even a lot of normies know of moids like Isla Bryson at this point.

On the other hand, in places like Scandinavia I don't get the impression that we've reached that stage quite yet (we're typically a few years behind the U.S. in terms of political trends) and in e.g. France and Japan the troon movement is actually picking up steam. So depending on where you live in the world, it could take more than five years before the troon phenomenon truly starts to die down

I’m a liberal and while we give service to ”trans rights!” sloganeering, I can tell you as an insider that a lot of liberals are deeply uncomfortable with trooning out kids and letting trannies into women’s spaces, shelters, sports, and prisons. J.K. Rowling’s political beliefs are very typical: she’s a liberal but not a leftist and really cares about women’s rights and making sure children are treated like children. I credit her a lot with putting this stuff on the radar and really helping these issues shift without swinging too far into this idea that “protection” of women means taking away their rights. I also think the Dylan Mulvaney Bud Light thing did a lot of damage in terms of normie companies getting into bed with trannies - most big companies are only using troons for extremely niche products or services or, more often, staying away from them altogether.
