Let's take a deep breath and slowly analyze this very complicated graph. The title is "top issues for young voters." It is not "percentage of people who are in favor of X," nor is it "percentage of people who care about X at all." It is, in essence, "percentage who consider X topic to be among their top priorities when voting." The only topic that gives us an indication of pro or against is the "anti-right wing ideology" category.

Thus, we can deduce that 8% of men consider immigration, as a general topic, to be of very high importance when they decide who to vote for. This could mean they are in favor of expanding immigration, or it could mean they are not. We don't know. We just know it is a topic of great importance to them.

So considering that it is women who get pregnant, not men, and it is women who get abortions, not men, and it is women who are the most passionate about their beliefs when they are against abortion, not men, is it surprising at all that women place abortion at the top of the ticket? I know women who are afraid their ability to get an abortion will be completely stripped. I know women who are deeply religious and extremely against abortion. Women across that entire spectrum care more, devote more time and energy to considering, abortion than any man I know.

No, that was some speculation (about her refusing to testify). Not necessarily wrong, just not established. He received a diversion deal for the incest, and my belief is that they agreed to keep him in jail (rather than the possibility of prison) as a way to ensure that he received punishment but allowed for the circumstances both of his significant autism/other issues (not a good match for prison) and his mother's age and capacity as well (and her potential culpability under the law as well, if found to have been complicit). Plus there was the tugboat to condider, which, if he lost it, would have cost the state far more in care for him. It was just a gnarly case, and they appeared to have split the baby. But you're right - he was incarcerated for about the time he would have been subject to if found guilty of the crime.
