Many of the virulently pro-life women I’ve met were so because they revolved their lives around being mothers and couldn’t fathom any woman wanting to deviate from this, or they biologically couldn’t have children and were extremely jealous of women who were fertile and didn’t want to keep their pregnancies. It’s actually pretty sad.

I don’t understand why abortion is such a big deal in the United States. It could have been codified into law decades ago, but the Democrats sat on it and now we’re in this mess. I unironically approve of the European model of allowing abortion up until 12 weeks, which is more conservative than some states are allowing but gives more leeway than most others. If you’re going to leave it up to “the states” then Republicans should stop being so assblasted about neighboring states setting their own terms.

On the topic of abortion, I sometimes peruse r/regretfulparents. I've never wanted kids nor do I have any lest I be the next virgin mary, but it scratches the same itch as watching a car wreck in a way. Especially seeing stories about the male children. Of course there's fathers in there whining that they have to care for their spawn but it's notably male children that are the violent ones, while at most the female children scream and cry when they don't get their way. This one in particular caught my attention having always advocated for the euthanasia of sped moids. They're always violent, and sexually violent at that and his father is aware of it.
